Montefiore Advanced Imaging at Gun Hill

"this is the worst hospital i've ever been to in my life the staff takes nothing serious, i asked to speak to my doctor while staying here & she just left to go home, i've been sitting here wanting to know what's going on & when i'll be able to go home & nobody gives me any answers. The social worker told me he'd be back after his lunch break & didn't even come back he also just went home, the nurses & other staff are regularly just socializing with each other while people are calling for help, i had to help the person staying in my room off the toilet because his nurse wasn't on the floor."

"200 east gunhill road imaging is a Horrible place. I was 10 minutes late and they didn’t want to do my mri. If your appointment is at 9:15 you have to be there at 8:45 on the dot or they will not see you. 30 minutes prior to my appt time . The place was empty when I arrived still I couldn’t be seen because I was 10 minutes late!!!! The techs are very rude. Go elsewhere for your MRI. I have a urgent matter & They rescheduled me for a whole month from now. Very inconsiderate"

"They dont even deserve one star. I made an appt 2 months in advance. They called me immediately to get the prescription. Which i did asap. All seemed fine until the thirsday before my monday appt. When i suddenly received a call after 2 pm telling me i needed ins approval by friday noon or my scheduled time would be cancelled. I said; "why didnt you tell me that when you asked for the prescription?" Then the flippant caller said this is how we do it and there is nothing you can do about it unless you get the approval from insurance. Imagine getting a procedure approved within 6 hrs. Stay away from these unorganized quacks"

"I’m not sure what goes on here but this place is the worst Montefiore location. After waiting for four hours in the waiting room for my MRI, I was told to reschedule because they were backed up. I took the day of work, took Uber, fasted and wasted my whole day in a waiting room. Okay. I was rescheduled for two weeks. Two weeks later , I arrived at 9 am and after two hours in the waiting room, I was told the first case didn’t even start so I can choose to reschedule or wait longer. I was livid. Another waste of time and money and still no MRI. I felt so ashamed because I work for Montefiore. This shouldn’t happen to anyone."

"I would love to give a higher score for the staff at registration who checked us in quickly and efficiently. They were awesome and accommodating but unfortunately we waited a tremendous amount of time to get the MRI that was scheduled for 11 am. It was 5 hours and 45 minutes. They scheduled “studies” in between and in front of scheduled patients. Many people left and also rescheduled. How inconsiderate, disrespectful and rude to treat patients that way. They’re obviously there for a need and find it very troubling that the Medical Director herself was there and was unapologetic to every single patient. She was profusely apologizing to a Dr. Next to us who waited 30 minutes to have the study done on them. I’m bewildered as to the unintelligent, unethical way she treated every patient there waiting. I would hope that just because you have an education wasn’t the only reason you have this position. I guarantee it was not because you’re compassionate, sympathetic or understanding or even kind. Not a good day at this facility."
