"While I love West Elm - they have a wide and quality selection, their staff are so rude or just not friendly. I wish they would provide an in-store, better shopping experience. It's always such a bummer, like they are really doing you a favor for providing a service or answer questions. West elm management- you should conduct a store visit as a "random shopper " to improve your shopping experience"
"Sales Service was ok. The Nightmare began immediately after that when they rescheduled our delivery date 3x and unlimitedly neglected to contact us even though it would not be delivered. It was three days before Christmas, and the staff, mostly Jennifer and the manager, could not complain about their incompetence; my family would be without furniture for Christmas & New Year. She was just so unprofessional to the point we had to block our phone numbers to get her on the phone for an update as she lied and even offered us a loner that was never going to happen. SHAME ON WST ELM!!"
"Business etiquette and courtesy, and sales decorum matters. I've found the all the employees that I spoke to at this location are friendly but either lazy or liars or both. Just today, I went in to buy pillows, and was told none were in stock,but could be ordered. When I inquired about another location having them in, I was informed the tablet the sales rep was using wasn't working and she couldn't view another stores stock, but she again insisted the pillows could be ordered. When I said that was OK and I would head to another store to buy them today all of a sudden the sales rep looked at the tablet and poof just like that 7 pillows magically appeared and she went back , did a bit of digging, and pulled them out. I could list at least two other poor customer care experiences from rather smiling and friendly sales rep."
"Our experience is definitely the exception and not the rule, but we bought a sectional couch from West Elm and we love it even a year later. We received it within a month and the delivery process was smooth. I was worried because we do have a cat, but even when he's tried to scratch at the material, it's been extremely durable. Hopefully that stays the case."
"I recently made two separate purchases from this West Elm for my apartment. I went in December 2022 to purchase a dining room table and chairs. Anita helped me through the process, and I bought an as-is floor sample table and two as-is floor sample Finley chairs, all of which were in tact but understandably worn. (At the time, I also placed an online order for four new Finley chairs to be delivered to the West Elm closest to my new place to pick up at a later date.) I came to pick the floor sample items up a few days later and noticed one of the chairs' legs missing its peg. I spoke with the manager (John) who was able to remedy the situation and provide new chairs in lieu. Satisfied with the outcome, I most recently made a separate order for the West Elm Eddy reversible couch through this store. While I was not expecting the original chairs to become defective (it happens with floor samples), John remedied the situation, and Anita ensured the original order went smoothly. Thank you both very much; should I know of others looking to make purchases for their homes, I'll direct them to this store for sure!"
