"Mammogram experience- I agree with the reviewers below regarding their mammogram experience. The staff’s nonverbal and verbal interactions come off very rude and insensitive. I’ve had fine experiences with ultrasounds, CT, and MRI scans at this facility. But with regards to the mammogram side of this business, it’s frankly lacking patient compassion. I’ve worked at multiple NYC hospitals and I’ve had mammograms competed at UPenn facilities and Princeton Radiology— I can say that Ridgewood Radiology does not compare in the slightest and really should improve their staff training or reduce staff burn out if that is contributing to their irritable moods towards patients. Perhaps some continuing education training and multicultural sensitivity training would benefit the staff to understanding that a mammogram experience including just getting to an appointment, can be stressful."
"Updated: the results finally came in and the staff and Debbie are very nice. The thing that businesses like this have to realize is that everyone wants/needs answers asap. They likely get desensitized since they do this every day. Hopefully they will read results faster moving forward for people. Original: If you can use a different place to get a CAT scan or MRI. They don’t give a damn about you. They took over four days to read my CAT scan which means I was in pain for four days unnecessarily. They literally don’t care about you. They should be ashamed of themselves."
"Decent clinical staff, used them a handful of times. But the administration and billing part of the group is horrific. Automated systems that you cannot break out of, never talk to a person, get random bills that you cannot figure out what its for, collections notifications for things you never had done, and yet, you cannot talk to a human being to figure out what it is. Automated phone systems that take hours to interact with, and still not resolution. Terrible, just terrible. Go anywhere else"
"Front desk staff is very unprofessional: loud/gossiping. By far: the most painful Mammogram I’ve ever had. The plastic compressing into my chest wall was horrific, I’m still sore 6 hours later. At one point, the tech repositioned me and yanked my shoulder so hard I shrieked. After the exam was completed, she actually said, “Are you always so sensitive?” I turned to her just flabbergasted by her lack of compassion and said, “The was the most painful/uncomfortable Mammogram I ever experienced.” Your staff needs to be retrained. Pain is SUBJECTIVE. If a patient states they are experiencing pain, the response should not be a condescending “Are you always so sensitive?”"
"Had my first mammogram and ultrasound and had the best experience one could hope for. My doctor hadn’t sent over the script so they were able to call and get it for me. Overall I was super nervous and felt awkward and staff was incredibly reassuring and comforting. It was also an efficient visit. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Thanks for making it a positive experience"
