"In my recent manicure experience, the technician neglected to trim the cuticles properly, resulting in a less-than-ideal outcome. Unfortunately, my nails appear unkempt, and there's a noticeable dent left behind. Overall, it was the worst manicure I've ever received."
"Purchased a gel pedicure via ClassPass. I was impressed with the wide gel color selection and the staffs help with selecting a color and making sure it aligned with what I wanted. Fast and friendly service and happy with the service!"
"The same day reservation was easy and quick to book! When I got there the nail specialist was professional, nice and understood exactly what I wanted. The pricing is really fair too. 4 weeks later, and my nails are still looking beautiful like the first day and the gel is still stunting"
"I went there yesterday. The nail technician told me it was ok to use different brands of polish for a gel manicure, turns out it wasn’t ok. The picture doesn’t capture it well, but my nails has stains of colors because of how the two polish reacted together. I complained to the technician saying it does not look good. Instead of taking it off and do it with polish from the same brand, she tried to correct them and they still look pretty bad. Also a lot of polish on my skin. It doesn’t look good and It was expensive. The manager gave me $10 dollars discount, but I wish my nails were just redone. Now I have to pay another place to get them done! Ridiculous!"
"I got the mani+pedi combo from Tina. She sped through the whole thing, taking a whopping 38 minutes total (looked at the time when I started drying so I would know how long to sit under the lights). It was a very perfunctory experience. My toes look OK, but my manicure looks bad with lots of tiny bubbles in the polish and some streaks from uneven application of the topcoat. My cuticles look dry and peely, and there's a ridge of crusty topcoat around some edges. She offered to re-do it when I pointed this out (after protesting "it wasn't like this when I finished") but I had to leave. I asked if I could make an appointment to come back, but she said I'd have to come back and just see if someone had time. When I returned a day later, she told me they looked so bad because of the time that had passed. I paint my nails myself every week, and they never even chip before 7 days has passed, so that's just not true. I think it's bad service to do a shoddy job and then blame the customer for it. I posted a pic of pink and orange nails, after two days. It's crazy. The salon was comfortable and quiet, with a relaxed atmosphere. They have lots of colors of Essie and OPI polish, plus a lot of gel and dip options from brands I don't know. Maybe other people would do a better job, but I wouldn't go back to Tina due to both bad skill and attitude. I also made the appointment online, and upon arrival, my booking was ignored as she tried to dramatically upsell packages that were twice as much. Added after response from salon: This is, indeed, how you treated me as a customer, without any exaggeration. I even offered to repaint them myself in the salon. I just wanted a nice manicure during my visit to NYC."
