"Yesterday, we ended up at Big Woods Garden Center & Nursery after visiting our more local nursery for a tree. Our local nursery had trees but the prices went up significantly, the choice was limited, and, most importantly, the quality went down. Upon touching a few trees and watching needles fall to the ground excessively, we decided to leave. A friend recommended Big Wood GC&N. We took the 15 mile trip to New Egypt and were greeted by a very kind man named, Spencer who carried a few trees around for us to compare them. We ended up choosing the perfect tree, which was difficult because there were just so many perfect trees. We ended up speaking with Chris who talked to us about how to care for our tree and gave us a quick education on how trees receive water. He then took the time to talk to us about the Green Giants that we're planning on buying in early spring to form a border on our property. 10/10 will be returning to Big Woods GC&N. "The really nice owner came out and helped us select some bushes for the conditions in our front yard - it gets unforgiving sun and is slightly dry. He was very knowledgeable and Kept safe distance. What I noted most of all was that the plants were very meticulously cared for. Absolutely no wilt despite it being a 95 degree day. No crunchy leaves. No dry spots. Shrubs clearly maintained in three areas shade, semi shade and sunny. *** All of this was a sharp departure from big box stores with heat stressed overpriced plants and shrubs. Thanks Big Woods - we'll be back."
