Harlem Children’s Zone - Geoffrey Canada Community Center (GCCC)

The Harlem Children’s Zone - Geoffrey Canada Community Center (GCCC) is a vital institution located at 35 East 125th Street in New York, United States. Named in honor of HCZ’s founder and president, the Geoffrey Canada Community Center has been a hub of learning, support, and celebration since 2004. This welcoming space serves as a centerpiece of HCZ and Central Harlem, offering a wide range of services and activities to the community.

The GCCC is home to the Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy II Middle School and High School, providing a space for education and personal growth. In addition, the center hosts group activities, social support programs, and public information sessions for members of the Central Harlem community. All activities at GCCC are free and open to the public.

With safety officers on duty 24 hours a day, the GCCC ensures a secure environment for scholars and visitors alike. The center also connects visitors to HCZ’s network of partners, providing access to additional support and resources. To maintain a safe environment, participants in GCCC events are required to complete an HCZ intake registration form and adhere to the regulations set by HCZ.

The Armory, a 50,000 square foot space within the GCCC, is available for athletics and health and wellness programming for the community.
