"Love the place and you can bring your own food to cook.. there are no fees to get in.. parking is free.. great to do picnic ,and great to take pictures and heard about the boat rides which I haven't tried.. maybe next I next time.. ((boats do have a fee..))"

Martin is a knowledgeable docent and has great passion toward the lake and its past glory days as a great American resort. Martin literally wrote the book on Lake Hopatcong history. "I love this lake. I have been going there since I was a baby with my family and I now bring my kids there. It’s such a family oriented place. You can barbecue there, they have a little park for the kids an area to play volleyball and basketball."
"Plenty of parking. Boat ramp is not too crowded in early spring Saturday in April. Summer time it is a zoo. Plenty of BBQ grills. Small mountain park next to beach gives u nice view. Plenty of sun fish to keep kids busy in summer."
