Reviews
"A local Chinese takeout gem where the food tastes homemade and the ingredients are thoughtful (meaning quality ingredients, great assortment of veggies, etc.). The portions are generous and the prices are beyond reasonable. The owner is super friendly and runs the place by himself (please exercise some patience if required during peak hours). One stand out is the hot and sour soup. It comes full of tofu and several types of mushrooms (not something usually found at takeouts). It’s my favorite iteration of this takeout staple that I’ve ever had."
"Greetings! Allow me to regale you with our recent culinary venture. Having traversed past countless times, our curiosity finally propelled us through the doors of this establishment. Singularly astonishing was the sight of a solitary maestro orchestrating a voluminous menu. Alas, our enthusiasm waned slightly, meriting a modest four stars due to the dearth of vegetarian selections. Nevertheless, the victuals, substantial and delectable, graced both our sun-down repast and midday indulgence. A feast, not just for the palate but also for the purse, as the prices humbly beckon. Contemplation lingers upon future orders, though a candid confession emerges - Asian fare fails to kindle my gustatory ardor. Gratitude, nonetheless, for a memorable experience."
"Now this is a disclaimer This review reflects on my experience in my purchases ordering food from this location so take everything with you about to read with a grain of salt. The first time I visit this location I ordered chicken and broccoli with white rice and it turned out pretty good for the most part what I didn’t like was the chili oil that I received. It wasn’t spicy and the chili was flakes that were in the oil was burn. (Not A Fan) So I thought maybe this was a bad batch so I went back two days later and ordered a A general Tao chicken and that was pretty good too. But again, The chili oil not very good at all. Burn chili flakes and Yes, I’d love spicy ingredients So I decided to go to another location just for chili oil, and now my third visit was a little bit more on the opposite side because he was not expecting me to order a chow lo mein dish and that was pretty good too but the chili oil again, isn’t the best….. So my experience results are that the food is good but anything else other than that like chili or you may want to skip on the chili oil. You can always ask for hot sauce packets and that’s an option but if I were you just buy a bottle of Sriracha. Now when it comes down to hospitality wise the owner is super friendly but he did not realize I’m not from New York. Now he’s a one-man army it seems like so if you do make a visit to this location keep in mind that you will probably wait just a little bit more longer for your food because it seems that he wants to do everything himself and I can VOTE as I right these review that the food quality is excellent American Chinese standard food. And he does have a A rating too…. So Don’t judge. A book by its cover (wink)"
"Good hole in the wall “literally” Chinese food, I had the sesame chicken lunch special and egg roll. When I got back to my room the egg roll was dripping liquid out of it so a bit greasy but after draining it… tasty, hot good proportion food for a lunch special. I’d come back for sure"
"Tried i-Fortune for the first time and really happy I did! I got the general tso’s chicken & garlic eggplant lunch combinations and crab rangoons. General tso’s chicken: this is my go to for Chinese takeout and they made it really well, extra crispy without too much batter and flavorful. If you’re looking a saucy general tso’s dish then this is not that but that’s the tradeoff you make for extra crispy chicken. I ordered it with their white rice which is on the stickier side, which I prefer. Garlic eggplant: got this on a whim and it really hit the spot - nice flavor with some sweetness and the eggplant was really tender. I got this with roast pork fried rice which was yummy. Crab rangoons: they call this “cheese wontons” on the menu, they were made fresh when I ordered takeout so by the time I ate them it was still piping hot. Love the juxtaposition of crunchy to melty filling. All in all, really enjoyed my meal! The owner is also really nice & personable, clearly takes care of his customers and wants to make sure you enjoy your meal."
