Reviews
"Casual and comfortable dim sum restaurant with fast and friendly service. Turnip cakes and phoenix buns for dessert are a must-try"
"I took a chance on this spot and I am happy that I did. The staff consists of one person manning the register and several employees working in the kitchen. The kitchen is readily visible when you first step in and was clean, always a plus. The good energy and the way the staff interacted with each other (even at peak dinner hours on a weekend) was an added bonus to our experience. It was our first time here so we asked several questions and the gentleman who helped us was very patient and definitely knowledgeable on their menu. The food was really good. The overall value was great especially in this trendy neighborhood. We both had noodle dishes and both were delicious. They have a homemade roasted chili sauce you can add that was so good I refilled my ramekin and took some home for my left overs. The portion size was fair too. I would not recommend the scallion pancakes because the serving size was about half of the standard for those and they were a little greasy. Regardless I will definitely be back here and recommend this place to others. Lastly the bathroom was clean! Always a plus. Nom Wah is definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area."
"Simply put, stop by, this place is fire. In this city, it’s hard to stand out, some how Nom Wah effortlessly does exactly that. Bao buns and dumplings are awesome and not very expensive. Over that, the place sets a really nice vibe and counts with perhaps some of the best service you could find. You can also order on your phone, sit at a table and wait for food to magically appear on your table. Every other restaurant that tries too hard should come here and take note. Coming back."
"Cute little spot but not really worth a trip. Especially when you’re so close to so many great Chinatown spots. Our dumplings were lukewarm and not terribly flavorful. It seems like a place where the employees just reheat frozen food. You’d be better off buying frozen dumplings and steaming or frying yourself."
"The outpost that unfortunately doesn’t deliver on the originals rep. Feel like we had a good coverage of options but food was only okay. Best was veggie spring rolls but hard to mess those up. Fried chicken was too fried if that’s possible. Dumplings didn’t have much flavor. Probably more of a delivery take out place than a dine in."
