"Amazing spot! The guy up front was extremely kind and helpful. Great homecooking"
"This Oaxacan spot has been on my list for a while and I was finally able to get up here. Not easy as they’re only open on weekdays and close at 5pm. It was well worth it though. Super friendly service and awesome food. They offer not just one but a variety of different moles. I got the less common Oaxaqueno mole and chicken which was a warming blend of seven chiles with a nice kick, perfect for a winter day. Served with rice, beans, and corn tortillas - all well prepared - it was a delicious and filling lunch."
"Best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. Servers super attentive and welcoming."
"A very humble spot with good service and very good food. We did not wait long for our food and it tasted authentic and flavourful. They are helping refugees by giving free food to whoever is in need. This is amazing these days and you don't see that often enough. Please go, eat, and support those in need. Thank you for your hospitality and support of the community."
"La Morada is as satisfying as one can get for a community-oriented restaurant. I will acknowledge my bias since I've been coming here most of my life. I love the warm greetings from everyone in the family (who I consider family of my own). Not only do they take great care to address any dietary restrictions, but they remember your favorite orders and voice if you call/visit enough times. My go-to is the mole poblano or chile relleno, which blends a lot of the best characteristics of Mesoamerican food together. They also have amazing carnita tacos and nonalcoholic drinks. Don't forget to ask about some of the local social causes they are supporting, as they ran a full mutual aid pantry through the COVID-19 pandemic. All in all, this is a mainstay for our Mott Haven community."
