"My first review: BABEEE!! I will spare the details of why this Brooklynite searched for a salon in Harlem. Living in Harlem years ago, I learned Harlem took pride to elevate Black Women’s Natural Hair. Back to Salon Gill. Dominique (owner) was my stylist. It was my first consultation with Dominique and the entire time she listened intently with a compassionate heart and spirit. She knew immediately which direction to take and guaranteed, I will love the sexy transformation. After Dominique uniquely applied the color, steam moisturized, and cut my hair she requested to keep my eyes closed until the final reveal. Trust me, this was a hard task for me yet built momentum and trust. My final review: Salon Gill, is a lovely salon in the sky that I fondly named “Treehouse”. The salon vibe is calming and relaxing while the staff works like busy worker bees. Clients rolled in, serviced immediately, and walked out looking flawless, including myself. Dominique’s hair color processes and styling techniques are works of art. She’s uniquely mastered her craft. I am happily looking forward to hopping on the train to Harlem from Brooklyn for future appointments. I delayed writing this review the day after my salon experience to take it all in, and this morning, I looked in the mirror and said, Who’s This??
