"The food is good, no one is discounting that, but I suffered a second degree burn after a waiter poured an entire cup of boiling hot coffee on my lap. It was a painful accident, made worse when the owner/operator offered to comp my dinner (not the bill, my meal) and asked me to send her my dry cleaning bill. Are you kidding me! You comp someone’s meal when there’s hair in their food, not when they’ll spend the rest of the night at urgent care and likely a week suffering with burn treatment. She ultimately issued us a credit after my husband asked her to, but it shouldn’t have even come to that. What’s worse is that I felt awful for the server, who was clearly overworked and rushing to handle all the tables he had been assigned - squeezing around corners to try and get people the food and drinks they ordered. Mistakes happen, but this could have been avoided - we won’t be returning."

"The food was all delicious. Sausage was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Pasta had great flavor and all the dishes were filling. Service was a bit slow and they made a few weird remarks to us. The design of the space is very cozy and everything was arranged nicely."

"Scala del nonna feels nostalgic. From the moment you walk in this place is so inviting. The food was layered w flavor and love. Every single dish was perfect. Temperature and flavor. BYOB is also great - there is a liquor store right next store. Only thing we didn’t like is that we had to order everything together. Two people of our party were driving in from out of state and were running late so we wanted to order apps for the table and they wouldn’t let us."
