Copperfields Kildare Pub

"I have to write this review in hopes that it helps the owners. I am in Walden a few times a year and it’s been more often lately because of family issues. The first time I came was in August and we sat at the bar. The Bartender working a that afternoon was fantastic to say the absolute least. I don’t recall her name but she was newer and she was tall with long blonde hair. She made us feel so welcome and carried conversation and seemed like she genuinely cared. When I sit at a bar I want conversation. Same with my husband and my friends that usually come with us. Not only did she give us great conversation but she also was on top of doing everything else, getting food, tending to other customers, answering the phone etc. there was about 5 other guys at the bar and they seemed like they were having a great time too. Fast forward to the beginning of January. I believe it was a Sunday we came in because football was on….the bartender seemed more intoxicated than anyone at the bar. Then we came in this past Friday and I did not feel like I was wanted at the bar. The one girl with long dark hair did not speak or say a word, she seemed miserable and I was not the only one at the bar thinking that. The couple next to us were saying the same thing. I feel bad for the bartender that was working with her. She seemed frustrated but was trying to make the best of the situation she was put in and trying to do so with a smile on her face. In my opinion if it’s a Friday or Saturday night you should have bartenders that are going to talk to you, smile and that are outgoing. I hope this helps this bar in some way because the food was great and the reason I’ve been coming back is because of the first bartender who served us that day. I hope we see her again soon so I can get her name."

"A pub to me equals good beer and good food. This is a great pub. Our server was fantastic, the food was really good, and the beer kept flowing. We were in town for our anniversary on a holiday weekend, so several other places we looked at were closed. We found this pub and were really happy it was open. We were even given a slice of cheese cake to help us celebrate. A very memorable evening because in no small part to this very memorable Irish pub, thank you for the memories! (The fish & chips were good too)"

"The food here was amazing! . Very quick and friendly service. Huge selection of beers . It's all around a great place to eat at or get a few beers"

"My favorite dish here is the Philly cheese steak it's always amazing. TONIGHT, though, I got roastbeef with auju sauce, it was goooood. The atmosphere is good. The bar area is loud but they have a nice dining area which is much quiter. The waitress are always friendly!! Lots of choices on the menu too."

"Cozy pub with large beer selection on draft. Our food was delicious! We ordered the Irish Nachos (fries) and French onion soup, both were great. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were clean. We will be back, there is a lot more we want to try!"
