"This review is too long over due. Play is one of my absolute favorite shops on Main Street Beacon. For every birthday and holiday it’s my go-to for gifts for everyone if my life from the kiddos to funny cards for my dad. It’s always really hard to not add fun treats for myself every trip. The offerings are always rotating so there is something fresh to check out every few weeks, and the staff is stellar and kind!"

"In my opinion, this whimsical shop is worth the day trip to Beacon from NYC! I got the cutest lil kit cat clock (she has a pearl necklace and lashes???), mushroom blind box, gigantic googly eyes and more. I also appreciated the sustainable packaging that sought to encourage employment in the global south. Easily spent an hour here and I can’t wait to come back! My one request is to please stock Sonny Angels :-)"

"Don't miss this treasure trove of classic hard to find gift items mixed with new contemporary gift items from blind boxes to crystal pendants. I was blown away at all the rich variety of items and such cool selections that Play Toys & Gifts feels like equal parts Gift Store and Gift Museum. Very friendly staff, never pushy but super informative."

"I would venture to bet, that if you were to walk into the store, just browsing and not looking for anything particular, you would walk out with at least one item. Walking by, I thought this was a toy store but it turned out to be so much more than that. You will find a lovely, eclectic and extensive selection of gifts and novelty items, everything from books to socks and lava lamps. And toys."

"This was such a cute and whimsical shop. They have anything you could possibly need for parties, gifts, or just something fun for yourself. The associate was very friendly and down to earth. The only thing I’d have to note is that some items they sell at this store I’ve actually have purchased from other shops exactly the same as this one, but at a third of the cost. I’m not sure the reasons for the increase, but just worth pointing out. But all in all an amazing place."
