"I find myself coming back over and over again to taikun. The quality and preparation of fish is incredible (I especially enjoy the smoked pieces), the service is impeccable, and all at an unbeatable $85 for omakase. They also have a bar hidden away behind the restaurant with an great list of Japanese whiskies as well as your normal fare!"
"Unbelievable hidden gem. Very private and intimate, with a light atmosphere. Food is outstanding as always, with seasonal additions to keep it new and fresh. Would definitely recommend the sake pairing - but the red wine is my go to for the smokier and more aromatic pieces. Fantastic for a sophisticated catchup with a friend, business meeting, or date."
"The atmosphere and service are good, but the sushi isn’t great and I’m surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews. There was some good fish (standout being the uni which was a really great import from Hokkaido). There was some bad fish (the smoked mackerel was way too fishy and everyone in our party found it terrible). The sake list was overpriced for average sake. But worst of all the rice was stodgy and over cooked or over worked. The omakase price is the same price point of many great restaurants around (shiki, unique) and this was way worse than all the others I’ve been to of this price."
"Chef Feri makes it so easy to fall in Love with sushi. Very small and intimate you get to see his craft and the developing of an amazing dinner experience. Got to try Abalone and other gems as well as great sake recommended but his talented staff"
"This is place is an absolute gemstone. I will never be able to eat at sushi buffets ever again because this restaurant has raised my standards to heights never imagined before. They serve more than 13 dishes but you'll need to ask for the secret menu. They also serve drinks. Shout out to Feri, the chef! Absolutely loved the host too. I will definitely be coming back with more friends!"
