"I can't go into this store without being followed around like I'm a suspect for robbing the place. I can't pick any item to inspect without noticing not 1, but several staff members surrounding me in my peripheral in order to keep my hands within their line of sight. You know, 1 time, ok, when you don't know me you're checking me out. But when I come in several times and I try my hardest to bite my tongue at everyone's rude, uninterrupted disposition, I can't help but give this place a 1*. Idk how they're still in business. I'm never spending a cent there again."
"I hate this place. They sell everything for 2 - 3x markup for what you can get online. For example, they sell a pokemon tin for $39.99, but Walmart has the same one for $13.99. This store preys on people that do not know better. I also hate how annoying the shopkeepers are. Last time I was here, I was followed around by 2 shopkeepers and they kept attempting to sell me on buying the most expensive gifts possible. And every 10 seconds I would be interrupted during my browsing with an unhelpful comment about the item I was looking at. Please please please don't buy from this place so it can finally close down and we can get a better place for the neighborhood."
"Racist owners. Walked in with my friend to look for some small bathroom items would not stop being followed by the employees. Meanwhile other customers that were caucasian or asian werent followed at all just told hello and let wander through the store. Yet we had three people hovering over us at one point. I Decided to take a picture of some item and the lady practically ran to me and tried to see what i was doing. I told her i sent a picture of an item to my friend since he was looking for something similar only to be told no pictures allowed (probably because all their stuff is bootleg/knock offs). Then even after finding the item and the employees taking it up to the front right away the lady still wanted to follow us around everywhere even stopping mid conversation just to run behind us and to keep an eye on us. Any brown/black individual should keep away as they obviously only care for their caucasian and asian customers."
"I was here today, I saw a Chinese woman and a man. At first, the shop was very pleasing. It was very nice until the woman said something in a rude tone in Cantonese, I’m only familiar with mandarin only and this woman really said something like this, “I can’t believe they can’t understand Cantonese” I was flabbergasted and just bought something and left. This place has very cute Sanrio stuff and other cute things including cups, backpacks, ID holders, and etc. Honestly, it was a very enjoyable experience until that comment."
"Store seems ok at first glance, but walking in you realize that most of the items there are bootlegs/fakes of what they claim to be. The items there are also overpriced. If you need stuff for the house, go elsewhere. You're better off purchasing from Amazon or AliExpress. You're also not allowed to take photos of the merchandise for some reason but that's whatever. While I was in the store, there was an employee who wouldn't stop following me. It was uncomfortable and awkward. It didn't make me feel welcome at all. Additionally, he pointed out my bag - I had purchased goods and containers from a nearby Japanese store. He asked "You like Japanese food?" and I answered yes out of politeness. He then said "Make sure not to eat too much of that" It was a weird comment and rubbed me the wrong way, considering I'm chubby as well. I think, regardless of my personal history of eating disorders and losing/gaining weight, such a comment would be weird to anyone. Plus, it's not really his business - it definitely did not come off as someone trying to start polite conversation. Should've read the reviews beforehand on this place and was appalled to see that the store employees are also racist. If this store is extremely worried about thievery, maybe they should invest in better security. If you're in the area, would recommend avoiding this store."
