"The food left a lot to be desired. The fish was fried in grease that needed to be changed. My fish arrived black, and I did not order blackened fish. The collard greens, and the string beans were made way too spicy. I was very disappointed once my order arrived. This was my first time trying Platters, but I will never order from them again."

"The food slaps. It’s a little bit salty but the flavor profile is amazing. You feel like Big Mama cooked this food to perfection in her kitchen in the back. It is made to order, so depending on how busy they are you may need to wait a little bit. Whether you dine in or take out, the food comes in take out containers so it is definitely not a fine dining experience. They do offer a BYOB cork service which is pretty nice. I’m assuming our cashier was the chef/waiter/busboy/owner/and Army Veteran. I truly am so thankful for his service. The next time I am in Atlantic City will definitely stop here."

"I tried Platters Seafood & Soul Food today and I ordered the Chef Seafood boil before checking into my hotel and the food was amazing! Online ordering was quick and easy! I highly recommend online ordering if you plan to take out as their food is made to order. When I got there the staff was so nice and my food was ready and wrapped well! The food was cooked to perfection ! It wasn’t salty, their butter sauce was great too! If you love seafood this platter isn’t made for two. I would order from here again! I do wish they had fried catfish , scallops and salmon on their menu. Otherwise, great spot for take out."

"Service here was impeccable, we didn’t wait too long and our server was super friendly and helped with suggestions. They have the best shrimp and grits that I have ever tasted, 10/10. Other stand out dishes are the Mac and cheese and greens. Would def recommend"
