Il Verdi 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401

"We went to Atlantic City with my parents for a quick weekend trip. We stayed at The Tropicana & had dinner at Il Verdi. Man o' man, it did NOT dissappoint!! Their new location is perfect & so well done. It's very inviting, it has beach views, the ambience is very comfortable. There was nothing wrong with their old location, but the new one is definitely elevated. The food was 100% on point. Between the 4 of us we had... Shrimp Cocktail, which was well prepared and the shrimp were a generous size. Caprese, which was also beautifully presented, super fresh, and delicious! Ceasar Salad which, again, was very fresh, well done, and delicious. 3 orders of the Filet Mignon, which were perfectly cooked to order and tasted absolutely fantastic. Bone-in Ribeye, which was HUGE and packed a punch of flavor that was just as big. Definitely a winner! Creamed spinach, which was also delicious. Fingerling Potatoes were dry and possibly overdone but that wasn't going to ruin our meal. They had several tasty looking dessert options on the menu. Unfortunately, we were too stuffed to try any of them. Next time, and there most definitely will be a next time, I will same some room to try one. The only negative is our waiter took the "wait" part of their title to heart. He was great when he was at the table. Very knowledgable about the menu and super pleasant. We liked him, but there were long stretches where we didn't see him at all. Getting the check, then waiting for him to come back for it, then, again to bring us the receipt to sign, took longer than it took us to eat our food. Bottom line, Tropicana has more food choices than enough, Il Verdi should not be overlooked. It is a top of the list restaurant for sure."

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il Verdi Restaurant in Tropicana, Atlantic City, and it was a delightful experience. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we were graciously accommodated by Ricky, the wonderful friendly host, even without a reservation, and were seated at a lovely table with a stunning view of the sea. The moonlit beach and rhythmic waves added a magical touch to the evening, making it a picturesque backdrop for our dining experience. Our server, Barbara, radiated warmth and hospitality, and her 25+ years of experience shone through as she made us feel genuinely welcome. Andres the busser was also very attentive, quickly clearing the plates and topping off our glasses of water. The appetizers were a culinary delight. The Caprese salad was a burst of freshness, with vibrant tomatoes and creamy mozzarella perfectly complemented by the basil and balsamic glaze. The Crab Cake Appetizer was equally impressive, featuring succulent crab meat and a flavorful blend of spices. Moving on to the mains, the Gnocchi was a revelation of cheesy goodness, each bite exploding with flavor. The Bolognese pasta was a meat lover's dream, with the rich sauce clinging perfectly to the freshly made pasta. The pairing of an Aperol Spritz and a selection of fresh pints of beer elevated the dining experience. In conclusion, Il Verdi provided a wonderful and memorable evening. From the welcoming atmosphere and breathtaking views to the scrumptious appetizers and flavorful mains, every aspect of our visit was exceptional. I highly recommend Il Verdi for a delightful dining experience in Atlantic City."

"I had visited Il Verdi with one other on an impromptu trip into Atlantic City where we found ourselves wandering around Tropicana developing quite the appetite. In what was essentially a mental coin toss decision we walked into Il Verdi to be greeted by our gracious host, Ricky. Though we had no reservation, Ricky was able to quickly and gracefully find us a pleasant 2 top seat with a nice view of the sun setting over the Atlantic!! We were greeted by our knowledgeable server Barbara (who we later learned has been at this very location for over 20 years!!), she never let us go without the entire time we were in her company. Prompt water and bread refills, excellent menu suggestions (my accompanying took her up on the rigatoni bolognese) while I deviated to the gnocchi conricotta, preceded by the caprese salad and crab cakes. Everything so fresh, delicious, and comforting. We've only visited once so far, but I'll go out on a limb and say you may not be able to make a wrong decision here!! Other thank yous are certainly due to Andres the busser who was so quick to clear any empty plates we had left at the end with a warming smile. And Javier the manager who I hope is smiling at this review."

"My daughter and I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at IL Verde. It was a truly fantastic experience. The staff treated my daughter like a princess! Each course was served with nothing but courtesy, kindness and attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious. 5 stars isn't enough!"

"Verdi is a great restaurant and the new location with ocean views is amazing. But this new location is not without hiccups. We spent over two hours at Verdi (and it was not by choice). I usually like to dine under an hour. It was incredibly slow, but our waiter did his best to offset the wait with his really welcoming personality. And the food is delicious, but at the price, that should be a given."
