"Scallops were good, but nothing spectacular. The steak special was one of the worst steaks I’ve ever had in my entire life. Such a shame because our bill was over 200.00 dollars for a meal that was horrible. Dessert wasn’t good either. We heard great things about this place, but it seems like they are taking a turn for the worst. We will not be retuning."
"Every guest of ours commented on how their dishes were way over salty! On two dinners there. One in August six guests. Another in September with seven guests. The service was excellent. The dishes are not the same as they used to be. A wedge salad is not a wedge at all. It’s a small horizontal slice of head lettuce. In early August the plates were normally proportional. Mid September the short ribs were really small servings at the same price"
"This place is a bit pricey, the food was good and the service was good. I was up set with the kitchen, I observed one of the Chefs pick up a steak with his bare hands and put it in a skillet. No one in the kitchen had gloves on. And one chef had no head cover on. This is basic food safety. The steak special was over $70.00 and the short ribs were small portions and were $39.00 Won't be going back here"
"Lovely restaurant, had a great vibe and service from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely fantastic with unique twists on dishes and all cooked perfectly. The home ade KitKat bar dessert is a must order."
"Farm to table at its finest! Dine indoor or out! anything but pretentious ambience and best of all, BYOB! If you’re looking for the best server (in our opinion) ask for Anna. From tuna to steak and the catch of the day, the chef here will keep you guessing but trusting them will be the tastiest decision you’ll make all week! Avalon is home to some incredible eats but if you frequent and haven’t yet checked out this spot, stop in and pig out!"
