"It has taken me forever to try this brand-new ice cream parlor, but I FINALLY got to try it out, and I'm so glad I did. They have a fairly small menu, but honestly, it's perfect. They offer a milkshake version and a sundae version of their three main desserts. You can get simple milkshakes or just scoops of ice cream as well! I got the sundae version of the Salty Sweet, and it cost fifteen dollars. Oh my god, it was completely worth every dollar. The sundae is not just ice cream alone, but a smorgasbord of several different desserts, all fitting into the theme of the sundae. The ice cream was salted caramel and pretzel and was so wonderfully creamy. When you've eaten enough types of ice cream, you can instantly tell the difference between a high-quality ice cream and a low-quality one. This was fairly high quality! Scattered within the sundae were Cracker Jacks, chocolate-covered pretzel nuggets, and pretzel bits. It added a fun bit of texture to the sundae and gave some nice crunch to each bite. There was also a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie, and I really wanted to know where they got them from, because it was delicious. I honestly would buy a baker's dozen of just the cookie! They also put in two slices of baklava cheesecake. I have never had a baklava cheesecake before, but wow, it was so amazing. The baklava parts weren't overly soggy, and the cheesecake had the perfect texture. The cheesecake was still slightly frozen in the center of it, but I personally love to eat frozen cheesecake, so I didn't care. The whole sundae was packaged up securely, so it safely made it home. There was SO MUCH sundae, I couldn't eat it all. I ended up saving half of it and putting it away in the freezer in one of my ceramic storage containers. They seem to be using eco-friendly takeaway containers, so I was a bit concerned that too much moisture would make the container come apart after sitting for a day in the freezer. Even after being frozen and then slightly thawed, it was still just as delicious the next day! My only very minor nitpick is that the interior of the shop was pretty dark. I think it was meant to fit the "Prohibition/1920s bar" vibes. It also was super bright outside, so the transition from very bright outside to fairly dim inside just threw me off. Again, it's extremely minor, and could also just be me being used to overly lit shops. Anyway, the woman working the counter was super sweet! She had a lovely conversation with us the entire time she was making the sundae, and it was a treat to talk with her. I look forward to returning to try all of the other flavors!"
"Ice Cream lovers and their demand for quality. I was visiting Cape May from Tampa, FL to see my nephew graduate from Coast Guard training. I was getting gas and googled ice cream locations near me. I read the reviews and chose Prohibition Creamery. What an awesome experience. I met Peter and he explained his restaurant and ice cream philosophy to me. What a huge treat! I am a stickler for real ingredients and high quality ice cream. The atmosphere and quality of product was excellent. Thank you for providing top notch ice cream."
