"My SUV has been at this shop for 60 days come 11-13-2023. Had my transmission repaired not replaced for 5100 hundred dollars at AMMCO Daytona Beach, it broke down within 48 hours and I took it to this shop. I was told 4 weeks. They have not done a thing; glad I have that "nationwide" warranty. This AAMCO blames that AMMCO but still my SUV has no transmission. The transmission isn't in Vineland, they shipped it out to rebuild it they don't do the work at the shop. No calls, certainly no return calls from this office. The vehicle has been promised to me 4 different times. AAMCO corporate is aware that this shop is substandard. I don't know how they stay in business but for me and mine I won't give them a second chance and I don't think AAMCO is a reputable company. Do you realize I've had to rent cars, miss functions, put off events just because they can't or as I feel wont honor the warranty. AAMCO should have fixed the transmission and worried about whose shop did what and not have my car hostage all this time. Today is 01-16-2024 and my car had been at this shop until the first week of December. Guess what the transmission is slipping gears, 2nd and 3rd is my guess and shifting hard. Corporate has arranged my car to go to a different shop in Egg Harbor for any new work. Please don't take your car here."
"Long story short, Took it there for leakage, & after two dismal attempts to fix the problems they created, my truck died on the side of the road after $3,400 in repairs. It was so bad I took them to court & won. Of course this hack station/owner refuses to pay the judgement. Word to the wise, stay away from this establishment! Incompetency & shady business practices are an understated compliment to say the least."
"I took my car in because I thought I had a transmission problem, but they said it was all good. Luckily for me, the shop has honest staff and didn't charge me or make up work that needed to be done. Overall super genuine and they answered other questions I had about my car too."
"Transmission replacement, Drive shaft replacement and also rear differential replaced, 11,000 down the drain car never ran the same after coming here. Please stay away from this location. It is poorly ran, they will keep your car until you warranty expire. I got a lawyer so hopefully my money will be returned. Again please before taking your car here do your own research and understand them cars in the parking lot have been returned multiple times for the same issues. I wouldn’t even trust them for an oil change after the experience I’ve had here."
"Update: Took my car in on 6/10. Needed a new transmission. Took a week to diagnose. Was told repair could take 2 weeks and hoped to have car 6/29. On 6/29, told it’d be 7/4 which was annoying because I needed car for a trip. Went on trip with alternate car. Came back 7/12. Car still not done. No estimate of when it will be. Every time we call (if we get an answer), there’s another reason it’s not done. Trying really hard to be patient and understanding because I know it’s a big job and they’re busy, but they’ve had my car for over a month. They have $6000 of my money and my car and I’m beginning to think I’ll never get it back. If I’d known it’d be this long and frustrating I would’ve just put that money towards a new car, but now I’m stuck. (ETA: Got car back on 7/19. We’ll see how it does). Original: Recommended by another mechanic after overheating transmission warning. Dropped it off and they did a thorough investigation. Took a couple days, but felt they were honest and really tried hard to replicate the issue and were honest when they couldn’t. Explained well why they did or didn’t recommend other fixes and issues I brought up. Ended up getting brakes fixed as I knew I needed them anyway. Work was done quickly once issues determined. Very personable and professional to work with."
