Bandwagon Diner

"This time we ate at bandwagon on route 37 E. toms River. This was recently completely redone and looks quite nice inside with some front window tables and then a fairly large dining area to see the decent crowd. The three of us sat toward the back up against the wall, hoping not to be bothered and left alone for the hour and a half that we tend to get together when we meet for lunch. And that was fine we were there actually just over that and we weren’t rushed out in anyway. The other two guys ordered lunch, the one was an absolutely inedible, overcooked and fatty French dip that he could not get half of down and was disgusted with the sandwich And having to pull it apart and find a piece that he could eat. He did not send it back and ended up eating just french fries. That’s a shame. The other fellow seem to enjoy his lunch, didn’t overly recognize what he had. I was too busy seasoning the breakfast I had ordered. Now let’s get down to details, about the breakfast. There was zero seasoning on the eggs or the home fries only the corn beef, which was definitely not homemade, but it was quite tasty. Just imagine the knife at my spot was not clean, I just put it aside and didn’t use it. All I needed was a fork which was clean. It took a little effort to get some communication with the young man that was serving us. But he was having trouble keeping up with me, drinking coffee, which was decaf, and very fresh. So what did I think? I like the place their menus, both breakfast and lunch and dinner menus are massive, which can be nice but often scares me too. They keep so much stored for the rare dish. Somebody might order off the menu and this food goes bad. Keeping it simple would I go back? Answer is yes, but I can’t write this I’d say for you to go without some info like this. I would want to try other food, yes, the french fries did look good. I had originally thought about lunch and changed my mind to breakfast. There were no lunch menus out yet. It just turned 11 so we had them brought to us, but I already made up my mind on the corn beef. The service said he was called in last minute he wasn’t expecting to work today. Maybe this is thrown his game off a bit but until the end he wasn’t all that sharp. People do have bad days. Just finishing thoughts. It would’ve been nice to have had onions in my home. Fries wasn’t told to me if there was an onion or no onion choice most places offer that around here. So I don’t know if you can get onions in your home fries. Give it a try expected three or four and you won’t be disappointed you might get a great meal and great service. I don’t know how consistent this place is. Oh, and about the noise level, I’ve read others say it’s noisy. We only had four tables in a room of 20+ tables and the ambient noise was quite loud so I can see around dinner time. This could be one of them. You got a shout at each other places. So I salt and peppered it took this video and photos and ate all of my breakfast."

"I am so glad the Bandwagon is open after renovations. This was my goto place back in the days when I worked the Club's in Seaside. The food killed it and was better than ever, and it's all new inside and out. My waiter Omar was the best, right on top of everything. Welcome Back"
