16 Prospect Wine Bar and Bistro

"I was hopeful about finding a great wine bar in town but unfortunately 16 Prospect didn't meet the bar for me. My husband and I each tried a few wines and ordered the charcuterie board for an appetizer - which was comprised of crackers you can find at ShopRite and low quality cheeses. Wines were okay, though they are run-of-the-mill options you can find almost anywhere, so I struggle to consider this place a wine bar. Seems like they have a good selection of beer and cocktails, but again we were looking for a more premium wine experience and did not find it here. Service was slow but polite."

"The food was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is a bit loud, if you're looking for a more quiet dining experience, this may not be the place, but i really didn't mind because the food was so good, our server was good, we had to ask for refills on our drinks a couple times, not a huge deal. Also it's a small joint, so I'd recommend a reservation. When I'm back in town, I'll definitely be back! Get the lobster risotto! Incredible"

"A restaurant where you can meet your friends and have a good time. The shrimp cocktail was not bad. cocktail drinks were good. The waiter who served us was very sincere. I think there is live music some evenings."

"Went here because the menu looked like it had a wide variety and we were looking for some good drinks too. Great atmosphere around the bar and high top areas. I got the blood orange martini which I wish was just chilled more, it was kind of warm for a drink. My guest got an espresso old fashioned which was good, it had coffee beans sprinkled through the drink though as decoration. We got the cheese plate as an appetizer and that was so disappointing. What a sad thing to serve so don't recommend that. I got the hanger steak for dinner which was good but chewy, but maybe that's just the cut of meat? The mashed potatoes were heaven I'd come back just for them hah. The spinach served with it was fine at first but started to taste a little fishy to me which put me off. We also got the cedar plank salmon over rice and veggies. The salmon was good but the sides were disappointing. The rice had hard bits that were either over or under cooked. Overall I think I'd come here for the atmosphere and drinks to try their seasonal ones. I'd give the food another chance too so 4 stars for now."

"Sat in the back at a quiet table since it was a first date. Both of our first choice drink options were not available because the website still had seasonal drinks on it that they were no longer making. I had the pear salad, which was very good. My date had the shrimp salad, which I believe he said was good. We both had the lobster risotto, which was decent. I wish I had tried the Buffalo calamari because another table had it, and it looked really good."
