About the Business
Xi'an Famous Foods is a legendary institution located at 26-19 Jackson Avenue in New York City, United States. Starting out as a bubble tea shop and a small cart next to a bus stop, we have grown into a beloved restaurant known for serving authentic Xi’an cuisine. Our menu features a variety of dishes such as noodles, dumplings, burgers, and our famous chili oil made with over 30 ingredients.
Founded by father David and son Jason, we are a family business dedicated to sharing our traditional Xi’an recipes with the world. "This location of xi'an is clean and efficient. we went around 7pm on a tuesday after christmas and it was nice and quiet. we ordered the beef hand ripped noodle and the hot oil hand ripped noodle, least spicy -N2 and N8z the food came out quick and delicious. if you're in the mood for legit sichuan hand ripped noodles this is the place. (we opted for the least spicy today). I recommend dining in for sure as the noodles lose quality on takeout. all in all a solid option for a chilly weeknight meal."
"Not a fan of lamb. I only ordered pork hamburger, and it tasted good. Lots of people did take out orders. Won't wait for a long time to get your order."
"I have tried other Xi'an locations but it had been 3 years since I last had it. The quality hasn't changed one bit. They have a digital kiosk that you can order your food out. *Note they do not accept AMEX** You wait for your number to be called and then time to dig in. I order the N1 - Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles. The noodles had the perfect chew to them. The beef was well seasoned and tender. you can choose your spicy level but the key is to add extra hot chili oil afterwards. This is a quick, and reasonably priced place that's perfect for a lunch."
"Yummy yummy experience at this fast food like restaurant with quick and easy eats that is authentic. The spicy dishes were all very good and the people who worked there were helpful and kind. Not a lot of seating but people who were eating were fast so didn’t have to wait long for a table. Priced extremely reasonable for the quality and amount of food - definitely a gem"
