Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & Wings

"My recent visit to Hangry Joe's was a letdown, particularly with their chicken and waffles. The waffles were drenched in oil and overly sweet, creating a disappointing start to the meal. The chicken, meant to be the centerpiece, was also a miss. It was soaked in oil, missing the crucial crispy texture that defines great fried chicken. The spices provided good flavor, but this was overshadowed by the greasiness. The Korean chicken bites were another disappointment. They were soggy, lacking the crispiness and complexity expected from Korean-inspired dishes. The overwhelming sweetness further diminished the overall appeal of these bites. The only somewhat redeeming aspect was the tender bites of chicken, which offered a decent flavor, yet even this was marred by poor texture. Friendly staff at Hangry Joe's did their best, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the food's shortcomings. Unfortunately, despite their reputation, the fundamental issues with texture and oiliness across the dishes mean I won't be returning."

"guys i was almost debating on whether or not to review this JUST to gatekeep this restaurant. The quality of the food and the amount of food is insane. We had gotten this delivered and I live abt 20-25 mins away from the restaurant and when we got the food it was literally steaming so you know this was FRESH. They also had okra which is why i ordered in the first place because i have not found a restaurant that has okra and it was phenomenal. amazing amazing amazing food. The chicken sandwich was on point. the waffle fries were okay it wasn’t seasoned but the sauce they gave was perfect for them. the tenders are HUGE and the chicken is very juicy and fresh and just very very delicious. the chicken is very tender, and it is seasoned very well, and the hangry sauce is a perfect complement to the chicken. the mac and cheese was good, it had some sort of season on it (maybe cajun or something) and it was made with nacho cheese which is very different but it works. the pasta was cooked almost perfectly and they gave us 2 orders when we only ordered 1. you can tell the employees and owner of the place really care about customers satisfaction, even though we ordered through uber eats. i would love to one day sit in the restaurant and eat there to catch the entire vibe of this place. based off the food alone i get a very southern nashville vibe. god bless you hangry joe."

"Delicious chicken sandwich with different levels of spice available from very mild to extreme. I ordered 2 junior size sandwiches and that was plenty for a skinny guy like me. The waffle fries are also well done. For those with peanut allergies, they don't use peanut oil so you'll be ok eating here."
