"Our office holiday was held in the private room downstairs which was a perfect room for privacy but big enough for a decent sized party. The food was excellent and the wait staff was extremely professional. A great time was had by all. I ate waaaaay too much!"
"What a wonderful find for us! We just returned from a trip to Spain, and feel like we were there again! The food was delicious, the service was perfect, delicious Cava to drink, can't wait to go back again!"
"I am so thankful to have this restaurant near by. Absolutely class food and love that they have rotating menus that change every night (or week perhaps?) Do make reservation if you are planning to go here on weekend nights and try their sangria!"
"This is a Spanish restaurant. With the typical Spanish fare. paella, mariscada, shrimp and garlic and the like. The good... The staff and owners are very friendly and attentive. The Spanish fries are amazing with a slight spice, not greasy , served warm, highly recommended(go just for the fries and a few cocktails). The Pizza made in the brick oven also very good. I go to Olar for some of its appetizers and pizza with the spanish fries. The cons... Many seemed to like the paella but its just not the way I prefer to have mine prepared. It seemed a little mushy and bland and the amount of seafood it contained was just barely enough for the serving bordering on adequate but no more . Not to mention quite pricey. The prices for the traditional entrees and cocktails are quite high for what you get. Olar is very popular and fills up quick so make reservations well in advance or get there early. Its a beautiful brick oven. Get a warming oven to put the pizza in boxes in . ( looks tacky on top of that awesome oven) the decor in Olar is beautiful."
"Three of us had dinner last night at Olar and the food was very good. The special salad of frisée, mushrooms, butternut squash, chestnuts and truffle oil was inspired and delicious. The bacalao croquettes were good but a bit more salty than usual according to my friend who shared and recommended the place. The salmon special with orange was also very good. The skirt steak presentation was lovely and came out with a burning Rosemary sprig - large tasty portion. Portion sizes were good. Deserts were fine but not wow - we had the pan a cotta and the molten chocolate cake which was thankfully not overly sweet but missing something. It was unusually quiet probably due to it being a Wednesday night and a Jewish holiday. Good service although the waiter did forget to bring us the mushroom pizza we ordered."
