"I ordered ackee which was Served with yam, bananas, dumplings, perfectly done. Very very, very tasty. Excellent.. The chicken soup As well. This whole meal was very well done. No problems at all THE AE and the sol Fish very tasty. The soup had a combination of vegetables as well as great seasoning freshly done excellent the best I have tasted in this Rockland County well done indeed.. I certainly will be ordering from this restaurant in the future."

"I called and asked what she had left as it was already 7pm. The owner was nice enough to make us fresh plantain and the portion sizes were great. We had rice n peas, oxtail, plantains and cabbage. All was excellent. Going back to try more food!"

"I ordered from The Flavor through DoorDash. When it arrived, the first thing I did was pick up my phone to call them. Donna, the chef/owner, answered and I thanked her! She seems like a really nice lady and she clearly cooks with love. I ordered beef patties and oxtail with rice and beans. To me, those are two things I have to order when I get food from a Jamaican spot for the first time, just like I’d order chicken parm for the first visit to any Italian restaurant. She nailed it! Soooo good and big portions! Great prices, too, and keep in mind that I paid DoorDash prices. Along with those two items I also ordered a few “dumplings” for .75 cents a pop. I wasn’t sure what they were beforehand, but figured I’d try them. It turns out they were essentially bread balls and they did go great with my dinner, so I’d include them again. The Flavor is absolutely going to be one of my all around staple restaurants. I literally caught myself smiling as I ate. Give them a try! Highly recommended."

"Best steamed fish outside of Jamaica! They have standard counter served items and "made special" items that take a little time, but are so worth it. Great island flavor and a taste of home while traveling for work. Glad I stopped in."
