"Really mediocre foods. Had high hopes but left with disappointment. Ordered pineapple spare ribs, balance between sweet and sour tastes were off. The dish was way too sweet and lack of the sourness. Grilled fish with sour vegetable: very pricy for the over cooked fish that comes with corn and a few pieces of the black fungus and cucumber. You have the option to add on additional items for a charge. Each items were $4 or $5. Search continues for good Chinese food in North Jersey"

"I was in the mood to eat Sichuan-style Chinese food and decided to dine here. You get a complementary three-variety nuts platter and hot tea here. I ordered a spicy stir-fried dry hotpot and came with white rice. The dish was a bit oily (which is expected) but the flavor was good!"

"Hot Fish, a Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood. Overall, I would rate my experience as a 3.5 star experience. The dishes at Hot Fish were very spicy, which I enjoyed. However, I noticed that there was a lot of MSG in the dishes, which I was not a fan of. Additionally, I found the prices to be a bit on the high side. Despite these issues, the food at Hot Fish was otherwise pretty good. The flavors were bold and the portion sizes were generous. The service was also friendly and efficient. In conclusion, I would recommend Hot Fish to others, but with the caveat that the dishes are very spicy and contain a lot of MSG, and the prices are a bit steep. If you can handle the heat and don't mind paying a bit extra, you'll likely enjoy your experience at Hot Fish."
