"Taskin is a Turkish bakery that specializes in various Turkish breads (e.g. simit, poğaça, börek), sweets (e.g.assorted baklava, cookies, tulumba, halka tatlısı, etc), along with assorted Turkish baked goods like pides. They have an open kitchen, so if you go at the right time, you can watch them making the various breads and pastries. There are tables where you can sit and enjoy your food in-house - they will warm up things like pides and böreks and bring it out to you, so make sure you let them know when you order. I think the best experience at Taskin though is to order an assortment of baklava with a Turkish coffee. It’s heavenly. The Turkish coffee comes with a tulumba or a lokma, so you don’t have to order baklava…but you really should because the baklava is delicious. One word of warning, their parking lot is tiny, and it’s almost always full on the weekends. Taskin has another lot that is accessed via Dakota St, but you have to access it via a narrow alley which may make some people uncomfortable. I’ve seen people just park on Butler St. - just be careful crossing the street because people drive very fast down Hazel."

"Nice place. Great vibe. Very clean and well maintained. They have a variety of products from sweets to quick bites. Dine in is available. They are very reasonable. Their tea is good, should try it. Food is served hot, you will enjoy it. Parking could be an issue, they have limited space."

"Came around 7PM on Friday night just to get a quick dessert. Bread, baklava, cakes, coffee, tea, etc. all available 24/7 which is cool. Place was packed. Staff was friendly even let us try a dessert to see if we liked it before we bought. They have a private parking lot with valet if needed. The valet attendant was super nice and friendly! Will be back!"
