"When I got there, the parking lot was full and that’s always a good sign.. I walked in and it smelled incredible. Food is veeeeeeerrrryyy good. I’m usually really picky because I think I cook better than most people but let me tell you this food was delicious. Worth every penny. I got some fried shrimp, Mac and cheese and potato salad. It came with the most delicious corn bread, no butter needed!! Everything was solid. I also got sweet potato pie but didn’t eat it yet, though I’m sure it’s just as good as the food was. I’m in union once a week for the rest of the month for work and I will be there every week trying something new because I guarantee it’s all delicious!! I don’t even write reviews but I had to come tell you to try this food. Wish I took a picture, but I ate it too fast. Go get you some!!"

"I was in the area and I googled soul food. I took a chance with Mama’s and I’m so glad I did! The yams melted in my mouth. The cabbage was delicious and I’m not a lover of peppercorn. And oh that fried Catfish! Whew! Seasoned to perfection! Y’all put your foot in that food! I only got one bite of the cornbread because my grandbaby took it and ate the whole thing. I wish I lived closer but next time I’m up that way, I’ll be back!"

"Everything was sooooo good. This was my first time here and I got the 2 pc catfish with 8 pc shrimp, Mac and cheese, candy yams and it came with cornbread. It was fresh and well seasoned. I got a picture of the food but the cornbread didn’t make the cut because I inhaled it lol. I live all the way in Philly, but I’ll definitely be back next time I’m over here. 10/10!!! Oh and the food didn’t make it out the parking lot"

"The service has improved since the last time I was here. The cashier actually look at me when she spoke to me. In the past, the cashiers were rude and uncaring as hell. This is an improvement! The hot version of the BBQ sauce is indeed hot. If you aren't into spicy food, go for the mild sauce. The greens were too salty, but it probably was a bad batch. The mac and cheese was on point! Overall, the food was good and the service is getting better."
