"Tested Covid + 24 hrs ago. Called NP Howell 24 hrs ago, requested Paxlovid. Didn’t return my call. Called at 4 pm yesterday and given excuse “they’re busy” and will call end of day. No call back or Rx. Called at 11am today, no one will pick up."
"Do not go to this place doctor Elizabeth don’t listen at all and when you try and let her no what’s going on with your love one she don’t listen I tell her about the changes she thinks just because she a doctor that she knows a person body the state needs to audit the medical records and look in to things and the receptionist are so very nasty they judge you ther are unfit unprofessional and sloppy"
"Called end of June beginning of July. Needed a pre op visit for a surgery I was having in August. One practitioner wasn't in . I requested to see a Dr. Have never seen a Dr at this practice. Well after 4 - 5 calls I have never seen a Dr. Nor did I ever, ever get a call back. Just an absurdity."
"Called to see if my PCM could prescribe me a new medication and was told I'd have to wait a month to see her and be given the prescription. A week before the appointment I realized I had a schedule conflict and had to cancel the appointment with my PCM. When I did the receptionist told me that my PCM didn't have anything immediately available so they would call me back with the new appointment. They never did. Three days passed and then I received a letter telling me I had been a no-show at the appointment I had supposedly rescheduled and I am now unable to fill any prescriptions my PCM has given me until I call and see her in person. I sent a message letting them know I had never been given the new appointment date and that I didn't want to wait a month to see my PCM again and they left the message on read. I never received any reply from them. The front desk is absolutely atrocious. I've been hung up on after being on hold for 30 minutes and have left messages several times only to never be called back or written back. MyChart is also an absolute joke with this practice as they don't use it to make the patients lives any easier."
"Dr. Hirim Rodriguez is a very kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable physician. I would, and have, referred patients to him. My experiences with him have always been positive. His nurse is a jewel, and she is very pleasant and thorough in what she does. The office staff at Amelia Medical Associates have been far less superior. It is difficult to get someone to answer the phone; information has been requested that did not reach the physician; the staff member answering the phone is not always courteous or easy to speak with. Important information is not given in a timely manner before an appointment is made. An example: No mention was made that the door would be locked, and patients would have to call the office from outside the door to have someone unlock the door, take a temperature and then admit them for their appointment. The issue was that no one answered the phone or a knock on the door. I waited for 30 minutes before finally get through to someone to admit me. By that time I had developed a headache causing my blood pressure to be higher than normal. There were absolutely no patients in the waiting room. One patient waiting outside the office left before being seen, or rather before someone came to admit them. This method of seeing patients seems unsatisfactory. The office staff is behind a glass enclosure and all patients are wearing a mask. I can't understand this protocol."
