"Bon Secours Pediatric Lung Care has a Breathing Test Lab that belongs to St Mary Hospital. The doctor service was good but it made a terrible billing issue to me. My son ever visited this doctor office twice in 2019 and once in 2020. Exact same Breathing test was done in the Lab in these three visits. My Insurance company did full payment for two testing in 2019 visits, but the testing in 2020 visit had a deductible amount that needed to be paid from me because the doctor office had submitted different request code for same service. This doctor office has very poor customer service and can't provide enough help to resolve the problem. It costed me a lot of time to contact doctor office, billing and insurance in the last one and half years. This problem keeps bothering me and I am getting threaten from the billing. - They didn't know how to communicate with the billing of the Lab in this clinic. They spent more than 6 months to finally contact St. Mary billing and then the billing spent another 4 months to submit my insurance an updated claim. Unfortunately, the revised claim was still different from 2019's claims and the bill’s problem is not resolved until now on. - Though they already knew the problem's reason, but they did not follow up to fix it. Every time when I called them, they always needed me to explain everything again and again, and then let me wait for 30 days. But nothing happened after one month and I had to call back again. - When I contacted the doctor office's supervisor, she just forwarded my email to the billing and did not get this problem resolve. - St Mary Billing said they had already submitted exact same claim for 2020 visit as previous 2019 visits to my insurance, but insurance confirmed different claim info was received. The Billing refused to follow insurance's requirement to directly contact insurance as service provider to fix wrong place in the claim. They just kept sending me the bill to require payment from me, and also threaten me to report to credit agency. - The billing agreed to send me the 2020 claim item detail, so I can compare it by myself and prove it to my insurance, but I did not receive it after more than one month. Even after I has ever talked with the billing's supervisor, it still did not work. - This issue was originally caused by the doctor's incorrect request entry, but they didn't work with billing to fix it and get it paid from my insurance. They just keep requiring me to pay for it, and let patient customer to pay several hundred dollars for doctor's mistake. Especially the asked amount is almost double of what they can get from insurance. I don't know if this is also one important reason why they did not try to resolve it."
