"Over a period of almost 3 years, Harmony Cares (formerly Visiting Physicians) has caused: -- 20 medication interruptions from not processing renewals when requested -- oxygen company to drop patient because paperwork was not completed by the Harmony Cares office, causing insurance to deny claims -- delays in patient obtaining DME due to orders not sent The office is often totally unstaffed. Doctor and nurse visits are inconsistent. Sometimes the nurse is a no-show, and doesn't call. For months, care and paperwork were being done by an office out of the area. I do not recommend. If there are other options, I would avoid Harmony Cares, unless you want to spend countless hours resolving issues with meds, DME billing, and insurance / provider requirements not met."
"The Doctors, Nurses, and Assistants from VPA always went above and beyond. My mother suffered from Alzheimers and was nearly completely bedridden for 7 years. Their compassion was unparalleled in every aspect of care. They followed through and went above and beyond during their visits as well as behind the scenes. My mother was also suffering from congestive heart failure and it was totally due to their efforts that enabled her to receive care under the additional benefits available with hospice. And she remained under hospice for over 3 years. When my mother did pass, they showed up and coordinated with the Medical as Examiner and funeral home as well as comforted the family. My father also utilized VPA a few years later and also received the same outstanding level of care. I referred them to a neighbor whose husband was suffering with Alzheimer's as well. Unlike my mother he was very belligerent and could be aggressive. I would regularly assist VPA when they were visiting and was always impressed with the amount of patience everyone exhibited. Unlike the typical runaround my father hot from his previous doctor, prescriptions of any kind were never a problem. I have personally witnessed the level of care VPA has provided for three elderly people, over more than a decade and my words will fall short of the level of praise they deserve."
"This is the most incompetent, rude, and dishonest bunch of folks I've ever encountered. They consistently fail to get prescription renewals signed, and will resort to calling their own patient a liar when the patient calls them out for sitting on prescriptions. If you need a return call from a doctor or nurse, you will not get one. They have high turnover in medical staff, which is not a surprise. You will not be able to have any appointments anytime close to the current date, so they cannot be relied upon to treat a patient for sudden or temporary illness. I do not recommend this group. If you require a home medical group, try another."
"May 2022 - I am changing my review from a one star to five starts. Earlier this company gone through new management and they took feedbacks from patients and their family. We are seeing a huge change. Cynthia Robbs is my dad’s nurse practitioner. She is extremely knowledgeable and hands on. Always have answers and solutions to every situation. She gave us her direct email address for faster response time. When I do email her, she always responded in the same day and if I request for the prescription refill, the medication will be ready for pickup at the pharmacy in a few hours. Cynthia really care for her patients and always follow up with any concerns. I highly recommend her. Also, the communication also improved to full satisfaction. If you are looking for a in home health care company, I highly recommend Visiting Physicians Association. **************************************** My dad has been a patient with Visiting Physicians Association for a few years. At first, it was a well managed business and the Nurse Practitioner Cynthia Robbs was the most caring and experienced physician. She would come once a month and had answer for every type of questions and situations. Unfortunately, both Cynthia Robbs and Doctor Karen Hearst have left the company. Now I am lucky if I get to speak to a live person over the phone. As soon as you call the number, it will be routed to a answering service; they will transfer the call to a voice mail which no one has ever returned my calls. I have left messages for Doctor Niblack multiple times on patient portal and he never responded. My dad had an infection, it took me two weeks to get an respond. The doctor has stopped seeing patient at their house, please tell me why I need their service? If you are look for a physician to come see you at you home, make sure you stay away from VPA. It will save you a lot of headaches."
"I am a nurse who owns and operates care homes in the area. I have used VPA for the pcp needs of my residents of the last two years. During the last 6 months of our bussiness relationship there have been nothing but issues with people being dropped from the company without notice who require extensive medical monitoring. Do not ever use this company as the response you will get will be " we don't answer to you and it's not my problem. " I have been a nurse for 12 years and in management for last 6 years, I have never seen a company that practices with such gross negligence as this one does. Save your self the headache and do not use this company for your PCP services."
