Reviews of Johns Hopkins Community Physicians
"I find it very surprising to see these bad reviews. I've been coming here for years and had nothing but great experiences with my nurse practitioner Dana. She takes the time to listen to your health issues and seems very caring. Dana is definitely from a different line of health care workers and we need more people with her abilities and outlook towards patients."
"The JHCP referral team made the appointment over the phone and selected the wrong YEAR. I was instructed to show up 30 minutes before the appointment at 7:30am when the bldg wasn't open. The front desk staff was so rude - they took their time checking me in after chit-chatting for inordinate amount of time with other patients - then, motioned me over, looked me up, told me (with an attitude) to 'look at the date' - when I told them I couldn't access MyChart at the moment - she then told me it was 2024, as if it was my fault that their referral service made the appointment blunder. She eventually changed her attitude but only after I told her that I was a healthcare professional at Suburban. I can't believe patients have to face this type of sloppiness, disrespectful behavior, and rude attitude when simply trying to make a primary care appointment - esp. if you're not one of their 'in' crowd of patients. Horrible experience-"
"Very high turnover rates for their physicians and they are unwilling to be accommodating to patients who have to find a new PCP. Very poorly managed practice who doesn't seem to care about their patients. I've had to go through 3 doctors in this practice over the past 5 years. With the latest doctor leaving (without any notice to patients), I'm still considered a "new patient" and will have to wait until 2025 to get a new patient appointment within the Johns Hopkins Community Physician's system (any other locations). Very bad practice. UPDATE: The saga to find a primary care doctor continues! Found one doctor accepting new patients in McLean, Va through JHCP. Made the appointment months ago for today (6/12). I waited over 30 minutes to see the doctor and when she finally met me, she said she was switching office locations in 1 month - going to DC. They only notified existing patients this upcoming move, but not new patients that were scheduled to see her at the McLean office. How does that make sense? Why can't you do better, Johns Hopkins?"
"Do NOT waste your time here. Have used JH Community Physicians since 2015 and rarely go to the doctor. The doctors leave at a very high rate. Once they leave you are NOT notified and other doctors will not see you as you have not "established" care with a new PCP. They do not want to help you. I was in need of a doctors appointment asap for an issue and it was cancelled as not "establishing" primary care. Since I rarely go to the doctors I can not be seen because I do not go enough. Do not waste the time with any of these doctors"
"I recently moved to the area and became a patient with Dana Fleishhacker. I cannot begin to tell you how she has exceeded my expectations. She is approachable, extremely thorough, easy to communicate in person and online, and provides a much higher level of care than I’m used to. The office staff were also very friendly. Only downside is that forms couldn’t be completed online for patient intake!"
