"I had a terrible experience with that doctor. In my opinion she is all about the money and it is very rude."
"Be very careful. When you call the office and leave a VM and cancel on a Sunday for a Monday afternoon appointment, due to a severe illness and seen at Inova emergency, they will charge you $25 and send that fee to a collection agency. The office calls are forwarded to the doctor I was told. Document your actions as a patient on the patient portal and download."
"I make an appointment online. Then the office calls me that the appointment I made is not available and will have to reschedule. I tell them that I’ll call back for another time. They still charged me for the previous appointment for not cancelling. How is that possible if the appointment isn’t even available? Then when I called back, they just kept telling me that it’s my fault for not cancelling online."
"Warning: Hidden charges for physicals NOT disclosed in the contract or verbally. All physicals are 100% paid for by my health insurance company. I then confirmed with the reception staff, Dr. Reese and nurse that this was an appointment for a physical only. I did this to ensure that they don’t slap me with a regular doctor visit bill like they did with previous reviewers. I read every word of the contract about their ridiculous charges for prescription refills, late/missed appointments and took a photo for future reference. Dr. Reese asked standard preventative care questions about exercise and the food I eat. I said I was healthy with no problems (which is true!) I can see how the previous reviewer got trapped into the constipation conversation which happened to be true for her and then was slapped with a doctor office bill. Dr. Reese started a conversation with me about conception after noticing I take prenatal vitamins from my records. Now I see how the previous reviewer got duped into believing that the constipation conversation was simply part of the physical. Needless to say, I felt on edge the entire time and kept confirming with her that this was a physical and that if I had any other issues I will consult with her at another time. Dr. Reese kept persisting and offering me advice on conception even though I was only there for my annual physical. I did not want to answer her questions in case she billed me for it. No one deserves to feel on edge at a doctor’s office of all places. Dr. Reese then told me that the nurse will be seeing me for blood work. This is part of the physical. I then asked the nurse whether I needed to sign out. She said I could leave and wished me a good day. I was just about to leave when the reception staff stopped me and told me I owed money for the blood work. I asked them to clarify. They said that any blood work taken at the doctor’s office (including those part of annual physicals) would come with a charge for the convenience of not having to get the blood drawn at Quest. She said that this was also written in the contract. I asked her to double check the contract (photo of contract attached) After checking, she admitted that it was NOT in the contract but written on a small paper stuck to the wall. HOW am I supposed to notice that small paper stuck to the wall surrounded by loads of other papers? Since I come from a family of lawyers, I knew this was illegal so I told her of my legal right to be given this information beforehand. If I was, I would happily have done my blood work at Quest. This would also mean I would not have to come in fasting and extremely hungry at 11:45am like they advised me to do. The option to do my blood work at Quest was NEVER offered to me by any member of staff at any point. The reception staff even had the audacity to come back at me with “well now you know our charges for future” followed by a scowl. Yes, now I know after you purposely duped me. I did my due diligence by reading the contract 5 times before I signed it and I know my legal rights. She said she would get the doctor to call me about the charge. No doctor called so I called them back later in the day and she waived the fee and admitted that they should have written the charge somewhere on the contract. I am still writing this review because they refused to make future patients aware of the charge going forward. I am happy to pay money for services I intentionally buy but I stood my ground because this was unethical and illegal. I will be calling to remove my details from this place. I’m sad this didn’t work out. I understand that Dr. Reese runs the place. Dr. Reese seems like a lovely doctor who knows her work but these unethical practices aren’t going to win her any lifelong patients (customers). I hope they get in touch with me. Even if they don’t apologize to me for the distress and time wasted, I hope that they add any hidden charges into signed contracts or verbally communicate them with future customers. I will update this review if they get in touch/apologize to me."
"Never makes you feel she rushing during your exam. Wait times are usually 7 mins or less. Uses a holistic approach. Returns calls. Does not just write a prescription without thought and discussion about your symptoms and going over test results."
