Reviews of Pungo Ferry Landing Park
"Great place to go watch the sunset. There's a very small "beach" that's a good spot to set up lawn chairs and hangout. It's mainly a boat launch but definitely a good place to chill and take pictures."
"Pungo Ferry Landing Park is a tranquil haven, offering a serene escape by the water. Its picturesque views and well-kept facilities make it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. The park’s peaceful ambiance and excellent amenities create a perfect setting for a rejuvenating outing. What sets it apart is the superb boat launch and ample trailer parking, catering to water enthusiasts. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this hidden gem in Virginia is worth every moment. A true testament to the beauty of natural landscapes."
"Great spot to launch boats or kayaks. A couple of benches and a tiny beach. I would call more a boat launch than a park but still a pretty cool spot."
"Wish the beach was as large as it was in the olden days when the vacant Captain George’s and Pungo Marina were there. This place use to have such a nicer beach for the kids to play and swim. All the brush and trees need to be removed. Very snakey and unkept looking."
"Great place to have a splash and launch a boat. Normally plenty of parking and there's a little bit of beach access to park it in the sand for a bit. There is a port-o-john on site as well as a covered sitting area which I guess would be great for a get together and some grilling. Bugs can get bad but that's all part of it. Feels a world away from Atlantic Ave."
