New Quarter Park

"Park as a whole is nice - lots of things to do. I rode the mountain bike trail today, and it's a blast! Good flowy trail, about 6 1/2 miles long, with lots of little ups & downs. Wish there were more miles of trail. The photo is from a 2-star rating I gave to the disc golf course a few months ago - couldn't figure out which way to go several times, & seriously couldn't even find some of the baskets in the forest. Do YOU see one in the photo? Here's that review : Course is poorly designed. I've played hundreds of courses, and the layout of this one ranks in the bottom 20%. Peaceful walk through the forest though, so it earns a 2nd star for that."

"This is a great place to go for a walk, a bike ride, or to play some disc golf! There are many trails in which to wander, walk, or hike. The trails are well marked, and they are well kept. They also have many picnic shelters (I suspect they can be reserved) or if you need to get out of the rain as we did. The bathrooms were acceptable in terms of cleanliness, soap, tp, etc. Overall, it is a great little jewel that is close by to get exercise or bird watch. Get on out there and get some fresh air!"

"We enjoyed hiking and geocaching at this park. We hiked over 3 miles. We found a canoe entrance ramp. CAUTION: Chiggers in area The park staff was very helpful when we found a cell phone and turned it in."

"Nice park. Little playground area for kids... We visited for the disc golf. Nice course many holes thru forest. Wish the layout was a little more clearly indicated for first-timers, as we had to ask for directions a few times from others. They have a Tesla charging station near main office, but only 1 of 2 were functional.. Wish they had the other non Tesla (J1772) capability though!!"

"If you are looking for a easy, smooth trail with little to no incline on hills this is your park. Nice clean, with a lot of signs posted on loops it’s hard to get lost on on your walk. Clean playgrounds, a lot of trash cans, clean bathrooms, not much trash around. If you are into disc golf they have a large course. Also, basketball court, and a volleyball court. Walking trails are a series of loops totaling about 3 miles. Also, a bike trail that runs 7 miles. Parking should not be an issue, many different shelters to cookout or have family get togethers. Also a fire pit, and horseshoe pit. If you are a beginner this is a nice park to walk. If you are into Kayaking they have that also. If you are into birds you can enjoy bird walks. Again, nice, safe, clean, a lot of signs to keep you from getting lost."
