"This is our go to, favorite spot in town to step away into nature!! We went swimming here often during the summer, but have lately just been enjoying walking the trails with the fall colors! Very quiet and peaceful. When in season, keep an eye out for paw paw and passion fruit, both are a delicious treat to forage! I can’t wait to continue to see progress on the actual pump house and am so happy to see them working on it! It never gets old looking at such an architecturally beautiful and historically significant building when we come here!"
"People can visit inside the old pump house on certain days. I saw few people fishing along the canal. Nice trail to hike but certain sections are closed due to flooding."
"Such a beautiful location! The way the light hits the trails in the evening hours is perfect! The pumphouse has interesting textures. The bridge, water and rocks are all interesting features to work with too. As a portrait photographer, this a great spot."
"Cool little park to check out. They're currently renovating the Pump House so it looks very rundown right now, but once it's finished they plan to use it in the same way it was used before, to host dancing parties and events. I'm sure it'll take a couple years, but it will look great once it's done. There's a nice one mile walking trail around the place, so that's also worth checking out. Be watchful if you have small children because there are some steep drop offs into the water. Saw a green snake and found some snake skin so be on the lookout for those as well."
"Very cool place. Was very happy to have been able to take a tour. I have been wanting to for years and it was even neater than I expected. The park itself is also nice. There are trails and beautiful views of the river. I absolutely love going here."
