Reviews of White Rocks Overlook
"White Rock offers amazing views if your not use to hiking high elevations or long hikes take your time and brings high energy snacks and plenty of water if you do the loop to sand cave you will need it. Dog friendly on a leash."
"This is a fun trail with a good view but is very vertical and demanding, it is mostly in the forest and is shaded but I would strongly recommend that you start your hike early in the morning before the heat of the day and make sure to bring a lot of water. The hike is only 6.4 miles round trip but the verticality makes it feel longer."
"Definitely worth the hike but not an easy hike. We hit both white rocks Overlook and sand cave at the same time, nine miles round trip, about four and a half hours, 2,000 ft approximate assent, portions of the trail are rough with rocks and some steeper climbs. Take water, take lunch or snacks because one burn a lot of energy climbing that high. That being said, we aren't super athletes and this is the longest hike we've done in many years and it was okay for us and we are older. I think the best way to do the ridge trail would be to backpack in there is a camping ground at the top and that would allow one to spend two days to see white rocks, Sand cave, Hensley settlement."
"The hike is awesome!! Burns the legs yet it's not what I expected. The overlook was cool but not worth the hike. I won't go to White Rock again, yet instead I will go to the sand cave. Because that place is absolutely gorgeous"
"Breathtaking views. Hard to compete. Would fully recommend."
