"Nice trails, scenery, and wildlife. The deer were plentiful today."
"Beautiful little park with some short but interesting trails. We hiked up Cliffside Trail, which was quite narrow and led to a Pavillion and the remnants of a prior French settlement. Fun water access as qell."
"Small but nice space to relax at and do some fishing. There is a gazebo for some shade and seating. I did not hike any of the trails yet. Boat ramp and parking lot was not busy. Only a handful of people there during the week."
"Very nice State Park! We walked the mostly level loop around the lake. Several trail loops to choose from. Longest loop was 3.3 miles. Once you cross the dam there's a long display board showing the trail map and flora fauna in the park. Three access points from the road for this loop. Restroom was locked during our mid January visit. Plenty of room for parking. No bicycles allowed on trail but the looked like there would be plenty of room on the loop around the lake."
"Brand new state park opened in June. So it's small (no bathroom, visitor center, or even real parking lot) BUT, the trail is gorgeous & peaceful. It only has 1 park Ranger but, he's the nicest one we have met out of hundreds this year. Can't wait to visit again & see what they do once they get funding!"
