"It's a nice place to take a walk in the woods. There are currently a couple of port a potties by the stone house. Parking is very limited. I did not try fishing the pond but I may in the future. Dogs are not allowed. Hunting is allowed by lottery. This isn't set up for picnic type visits."
"We could have picked a better time to visit. 1/2 the trail was underwater. Then also the Bluebell trail, I think it was, said it was about a mile around but turned into over 2. A little more upkeep couldn't hurt, either. Only remembered to take a pic in the way out. :("
"Stopped in on a Saturday morning and did not see another visitor until i was leaving. there are several trails that loop around the WMA, saw numerous deer, red tail hawk and other native wildlife. The Bluebell trail does get very muddy after rains, be prepared with proper gear or hike several of the other well maintained trails."
"Secluded natural area that has an annual bluebell festival in April which is worth seeing. The bluebells grow in damp areas, so it can get muddy, but they have boardwalk in place on some of the muddied parts of thr trail. You can also get permits to hunt on the property."
"They work very hard out here to make sure there are native Virginia plants for a healthy ecosystem. There are butterflies, bees, birds, dragonflies and tons of beautiful flowers there. They even have a native bed hotel! Well worth the trip out there!!"
