"View is amazing! The hike is treacherous, NOT for beginners. Park at the old Massanutten Visitors Ctr. (This is what you need to plug into your gps because you will be confused if you try to plug in the name of the trail) when you begin on the trail, go right on the unpaved path. There will be fallen trees to begin with and very rock trail as you ascend. Every time you come to an intersection, turn right. Follow the orange trail markers. There are multiple false peaks, you will know when you get to the top. There is a huge gap in the trees and a wonderful view. It took a group of 20 year olds in a mild hurry 45 minutes to get to the top. Not for the faint at heart"

"Fun, adventurous hike up the mountain! The peak has a view worth the effort required. Def take a track pole or two. It's a moderately difficult 1 mile up and 1 back on the short trail. Can also reach by taking the trail for the Big Mtn trail (8 miles). You can get to either from the old Massanutten Visitors Ctr on Rt 211. From the parking lot see the Discovery Trail sign. The path for Yellow Cliff Mtn overlook is not marked but is to the right of the Discovery trail head sign. When you come to the orange blaze as you ascend always choose right. There are several false peaks. Keep going until you reach the rock outcropping and a large gap in the trees. The trail merges with the Big Mtn trail (8 mile trail) and continues on from the peak. The shorter hike back to the parking lot is to descend the way you came up. Note: To get to the Big Mtn Trailhead go down the well marked Wildflower Trail. You will come to a trail with orange blaze. Follow the orange blaze up and around the mountain."

"Great hike and a good challenge with elevation gains and rocks. When you get there, totally worth it. We parked at the wildflower trailhead, but no signs to find the trail. Head toward short paved hike and turn right at tree with a metal bowl. Then when you get to the T, make sure to turn right. We turned left by mistake and added 30 minutes of a challenging incline before realizing the mistake."
