"The office assistant, or whomever makes the appointments, is a horrible reflection of the practice. I cancelled my first and only appointment because I found the person on the other end of the phone to be rude and impatient. If I am left with a bad feeling after just calling to make the therapy appointment, I highly doubt the actual appointment would’ve improved my mental health at all. Avoid at all costs."
"I hate to result to a google review, but unfortunately we are here. It really hurts me to leave this here because I never even had a chance to speak directly to Ms. Hite. However, my first experience with this office was literally horrible. I understand your assistant isn’t you, but she is a reflection of your business. Whether it is yours or not. To start, I may be assuming, but If there is someone that is working in a MENTAL HEALTH facility that behaves this way. It seems to me that the behavior is accepted and no one cares that they conduct business this way. As a client, it is a turn off, because if you could care less how your clients are treated with their first interaction. Why would I believe that the Counselor actually cares about my health, and well being? I was only able to speak to the Assistant, Ms. Green. She, to me, is your frontline. I am not new to therapy, so I’m aware how this works. I appreciate when the initial conversation is welcoming and caring, which only makes sense in that type of setting. I know we all have our bad days, but consistent bad days sounds like she may need to be speaking with you on her own. I spoke with Ms. Green about 2 weeks ago to get a couples therapy set up, and her attitude was horrible the first time. I didn’t let it bother me because as I stated before we all have our bad days. So for me you get a pass because I understand. The second interaction let me know that there is a problem, and it couldn’t possibly be with me because I didn’t know this woman for her to behave the way she did. It was about 30 minutes before our appt. when I called in to get the details of how to connect with Ms. Hite virtually. I hadn’t received any emails about a connection link or billing. Which would be vital to get started. My fiancée and I requested a virtual appt. due to COVID 19, even when she told me that their office was open to come in. Fast forward to minutes before the appt. Ms. Green (the appointment scheduler) is clueless to what appt I am speaking about. She ask to put me on hold to research. I was on hold for about 8 minutes. She comes back to basically say she wasn’t sure what was going on, and that they had to push everyone’s appt. back, due to the government extending the shut down. Which would have been fine, had we been notified. Never received any call, or email about this. Imagine had we chose to go in, we would’ve gotten dressed and left our home to find out these details. It did not stop there, nor was there an apology. As she pondered over whatever her thoughts were, her phone rings, I heard it. There was not question to ask me to be on hold, I was just placed on hold. I’m assuming so she could answer her more important call. After about 5 minutes, she returned still saying the same thing. We had to push everyone’s appt back. She did say there was some type of mix up, but never took accountability for her actions. Her attitude towards the entire situation was very dismissive, and oh well, what do you want to do. She claims it was not her fault , even though she is the appt. scheduler. I honestly didn’t understand why a virtual appt. had to be pushed back, when not being face to face due to the health crisis is the whole point of a virtual appt.. When I asked to speak to someone other than her, or her higher up, and to also reschedule the appt. She once again felt the need to tell me she did nothing wrong, and that I could set up the appt on my own with Ms. Hite, since it seemed to her that I had an issue with her actions. I’m sure I’m leaving out something, but this is enough to explain the unprofessional service I received before even receiving services. Once again as a client, that is very disheartening to have to experience. Imagine if you had someone who’s very first experience with inquiring about therapy was this. That could potentially deter them from even inquiring any longer with anyone. I am advocating for the clients at this point. Yes, there are other therapist in the sea, which I’ve found one who was directly interested in caring for her clients."
