Dr. Jill A. Gasper

"So my ex husband and I came to Dr Gasper for coparenting of our young daughter. I took our daughter to an ENT referred by Richmond Pediatrics. She had been diagnosed with strep throat at least 7 times. I emailed her father about the appt. and took my daughter’s medical records from the pediatrician. The ENT specialist strongly recommended that she get a tonsillectomy. I relayed all the information to the child’s father. Unbeknownst to me, he ran to the ENT office and said he would not consent to the procedure. Dr Gasper , who is not a pediatrician or a specialist in the Ear, Nose and Throat, agreed with my ex husband, a Fine Arts major, that it was unnecessary. She told me, “why would you accept the burden of taking a week off work to care for your daughter?”. I guess her kids are burdens to her. Fast forward. My daughter is 18 and her tonsils are so large they obstruct her oxygen to her brain. This is from a dentist chosen by my ex husband and his mom. So, Dr Gasper will give medical advice that she is not educated enough to understand. I’m sure she’s contributed to many poor outcomes and her advice is useless and completely unhelpful."

She does not exist to feed my ego, but to help my children and that is all I could ask for. I appreciate the time she has taken with and for me."

"Another disappointment in my journey to protect my children. While Dr. Gasper is a very nice person, I have paid her an awful lot of money to have her neither hold my ex accountable, nor apply a trauma-informed lens (i.e. emotional abuse in marriage) in dealing with and relating to coparenting issues. By far the best thing that came out of our time was making school decisions for 2 of our children. Best to spend your money elsewhere to get coparenting support in a high-conflict divorce. I wish her the best but cannot recommend."
