"I really appreciated my time at Aster, and was thankful I was given a lot of it. At the residential level, my emotional needs were taken into account consistently. Any therapeutic needs I had were met with kindness. My therapist Tracey was amazing. The RC’s allowed me to be me, we’re open to any and all forms of support that would help me get through my meals. I was allowed pictures, fidget toys, etc to help me ground and laugh through the meal and it made a huge difference. The way in which Aster supports clients when they aren’t in res is really helpful - the alumni support groups are engaging and really helped me get through my day."
"Aster springs has been such a gift to me and my recovery journey… The process of transitioning from treatment to outpatient seems very scary, but with the help of the treatment team they made it less scary and less stressful by helping me be set up for success by helping me still have support of the alumni group and have some connection to the team and all the resources that I would need. The alumni program has been very beneficial, especially in the moments that I am struggling, I know I am not alone and have people there to support me. Aster springs has benefited me by stepping me through each step and guiding me through the process while also not just dropping me after or giving up on me. I truly believe aster springs is committed to helping you through fully and helping you reach your goals. I highly would recommend choosing aster springs as the place to start or continue your recovery journey! Not only do they support you but they truly care about you and your well being."
"My alumni experience has been fantastic! I feel supported by our alumni group that talks on a regular basis and has virtual support group. It feels like I never truly left Aster Springs, but rather have moved on with my life while Aster has continued to support me. It has been wonderful to connect with fellow alumni and share experiences, struggles, and wins together. The team supported me through the entire intake process and never let me feel alone or isolated in my hesitant desire to seek treatment. After attending Aster Springs once, I knew I wanted to return when I needed treatment again. This is because the team fully supported me through my entire experience and had more faith in me than I’ve ever had in myself. The people at Aster truly care and that was felt every single day I was there in both Residential and PHP. The admissions process was wonderful! It was really easy to connect with someone for an intake call and it was scheduled immediately. From there, I was kept in the loop of every step of the process and what was happening. I never felt like anything was done behind my back and really appreciated the ongoing support throughout admissions. I was supported with text updates about the process and by having an admissions coordinator that cared just as much about my receiving treatment as I did. She was always there to support and offer kind words and the entire process of admitting only took a matter of days, which I was extremely impressed by."
"I want to recognize the admission coordinator, Chaney. From the very first conversation she was overly supportive. More times than I can count she thanked me for wanting to get help, for opening up, and for sharing my story with her. Her gratitude for being part of my recovery process was more than heart warming. I was out of network with Aster Springs but she continued helping me through the process of being admitted to treatment. I ended up continuing admission with a program I was in network with, but Chaney followed up and checked in with me every single day. I have been to multiple residential facilities and I can honestly say I have never felt so comfortable and so supported by any staff member before. Her dedication to patients in inspiring; I can only hope her passion is shared with all of those in her position. I cannot express how grateful I am that Chaney was there for me during this time in my life."
"I’ve been to a lot of treatment facilities- close to ten in the past five years. I was in a really terrible place and had severely relapsed. Aster was a place that I had come to in a moment of being really scared. I had a difficult time adjusting with being at home with my eating disorder and going to treatment - they didn’t give up on me, they didn’t kick me out. They worked with me little by little. My dietitian Emily was kind and knew when to hold my ED accountable, and was good at upholding a realistic nutrition philosophy that recognized I was a human with hunger cues. We were allowed time outside of the facility to go on outings and exposures which really helped me learn how to interact with food in social settings. The RC staff were incredibly nice - they were more involved and supportive than any other facility I’ve been to. The Milieu Supervisor Helen got me balloons for my birthday, and Jess would sit and play games with me while I supplemented or needed support. Even after graduating from the program, I’m still supported through alumni. I really appreciate the staff and all they did. Thank you all for taking time to support me during a really difficult point in my life."
