"I love everything about Thriveworks. The company is thorough and accommodating to all needs, super user friendly, and has changed my life tremendously. I highly recommend"
"I didn’t know what to expect from my session but so far my two zoom sessions have been very nice. My therapist has been great and I look forward to my next session."
"The counselor I used here was great. Thriveworks, however, has a scammy-as-hell billing department that grossly overcharged our FSA card until the insurance company suspended it for what looked like fraudulent charges (and because Thriveworks was trying to charge last year’s billing on this year’s card, it was, in fact, not legally allowed) and we have been fighting for almost three months to get refunded/resolved. We are on our THIRD “check is in the mail” message, and there is no end to this in sight and there is a good chance we’ll lose the money on our FSA card because the card can’t be reactivated until we pay back what Thriveworks overcharged. Massively disappointing and I would not recommend them and certainly will never go with a provider who uses them again. PS Look up Reddit reviews on Thriveworks as well as BBB complaints. I’m not alone! Note: I’m acknowledging the company’s canned response (same one they’ve left in multiple bad reviews), and my only response is, when we call and wait on hold for an hour, then I’m confident the offer of engagement through email isn’t going to lead to any quicker resolution than a BBB complaint will achieve (we’re filing one) or help from our congressional representative (who we have already contacted) will achieve."
"They might tell you that your insurance covers the care, but CHECK FOR YOURSELF. I called and the intake said my insurance covered it. Then I get two sessions and am hit with a huge bill. It's FIVE TIMES what I paid for similar services. Once I saw the bill, I called in and was told that I should have checked with my provider and the intake specialist was wrong. But they refuse to issue any kind or refund or rebate DESPITE their staff handing out the wrong information. So I'm left wondering if this is incompetence or desperation for money... Then I called my insurer and they said I am DEFINITELY COVERED. Thriveworks didn't even call or file a claim. I am currently waiting on this to get resolved but in the meantime, I have this huge charge on my credit card. Check their Yelp page and you'll see my story isn't rare."
"Unfortunately, no amount of skill and care the therapists put into helping you, the Thriveworks system is so clunky and absolutely not user friendly at all. What makes it “Thriveworks” is the software they use. My Therapist didn’t understand how to access any personal information. They didn’t even know how to save important information to track my progress. Their website didn’t load my billing info or important documents during my sessions. They needed me to call to sort things out. The billing was all over the place because they didn’t know how to manage my insurance and payment appropriately when giving information. My bill went from $200 to $0 after giving insurance. Then a couple weeks later it shot way up after using insurance. I had minimal information on my own private account. “Thriveworks” itself is a black hole from the client and therapist’s perspective. Please prove me wrong Thriveworks. Ultimately, when signing up for the program I was told it was cheaper than BetterHelp. That was not the case. I got less out of it than perks of other online programs for higher costs after using insurance. BetterHelp doesn’t take insurance, but this company does. They get a lot more money than other app based programs but it’s less client friendly (and therapist friendly) than other programs."
