"I had two scheduled inductions with Dr. McDowell and two very easy vaginal deliveries. Dr. McDowell is a fantastic OBGYN. I was sick quite a bit with both of my pregnancies and was not feeling well, she took the time to call me and talk to me about my symptoms instead of just replying on the portal. I felt like she genuinely cared about me as a patient and took the time to explain things in detail when I had questions. Giving birth can be a scary experience especially for a first time mom, I’m glad I had Dr. McDowell to guide me through both of my pregnancies and deliveries. I have two beautiful healthy boys."
"Dr.Mcdowell has been treating me for cancerous cells on my cervix. After having dealt with an absolute nightmare of an OBGYN with my previous miscarriage, I can not recommend this doctor enough. She has taken the time to explain all processes, and to ensure gentle care through my whole ordeal. Dr.Mcdowell has been more than just an OBGYN- she has been a much needed ear and educator through this all. This doctor is busy for a reason- if you can be so lucky as to have her be your primary you absolutely should."
"This doctor is TERRIBLE!!! Do not use her as your OB. My sister in law was scheduled to have a C-sec on May 8th. On May 6th she was having contractions and bleeding. She went to the hospital, this doctor who was not her regular OB came in and “checked her” she was 4cm and 75% effaced. Normally that is developed enough for them to induce labor. Now I am a Surgical Tech. I work with Surgeons daily, I know the in’s and outs of surgery and procedures. I know that this is enough for a doctor to come in and perform the C-sec. Mostly because if you are a scheduled C-section, you do not want your patient to go into full-blown labor. Also, if your patient has had a C-section in the past, you also don’t want them to go into full-blown labor because of higher risk of complications. The next morning my SIL was called twice by the hospital that she needed to go in IMMEDIATELY. The other doctors and nurse’s that were there could not believe that she was sent home! I know this doctor didn’t want to come in to perform a C-sec, there was no reason or excuse for her not to come in. She just didn’t care and did not want to deal with a patient that wasn’t hers. So please do not use her! If you want the best for your family and for your baby, you want someone who will be there no matter what! You want someone who cares about you and your baby as much as you do. This doctor IS NOT IT! Ps: Mom and baby are doing great and healthy. Not thanks to her."
