"Dr. Bocca is the worst fertility doctor we have ever seen. We went to her because my wife has almost two tube blocked. Even though knowing that she did lots of lab works and a cycle by ovulating both ovaries. When that failed, she told us to go for the IVF. We started the treatment knowing that she may be a good doctor. But she mistakenly chose wrong stimulation protocol. Dr. Bocca give her 300 units of gonal F for 11 days. My wife had 17 oocytes (eggs) that she retrieved, and the next day of the they called me and told only 3 of them formed to embryos, and out of 17 only 6 oocytes were M2 stage mature, and the rest of them (means 11 of them) were immature. Now the only reason of so many immature eggs which could not fertilize normally is the high stimulation dosages that Dr Bocca chose for my wife. She should give her mild dosages and use longer stimulation period rather than doing so hasty (like 11 days). Now after the egg retrieval, they said that they will not transfer the embryos because her ovaries get hyper stimulated, so they want to preserve the embryos. But as only 3 embryos formed, and they did not transfer it back to her during the same cycle, and they wait for them to grow upto 5 days, which makes the embryos arrest themselves at the end of the 5 day. Thus, with all the expenses around ($18K) we don't have even a single embryo to transfer. We felt emotionally distressed, I personally go to EVMS several times, during that 5 day period Dr Bocca was not present, I talked with Dr. Staudmayer but it seems all they care about the money. They don't care about the patient. Because of Bocca's negligence and ill treatment, we lost all our money, and hopes to become parent. Now, when I went to discuss her she said "we hear these things all day, people get divorced for this reasons, they have money problems, we can give you only some discount for the next cycle". As a doctor how could she say something like this to a patient and her husband where we invest lots of money and although there was 17 eggs, but because of their mistreatment we have nothing to transfer. The staffs co-coordinator Leena was also vanished when we need them. Overall they left us in the sea of sorrow and grief where we lost our money for the treatment which I loaned from my friends and relatives, we have no hope for the future. This Bocca is the most rude doctor I have ever seen in my life. She is not giving us the proper reason of why the treatment failed because it was her fault, now she is saying there could be genetic problems, there could be egg problems bulshits. If I were an American, I would surely sue her in the court for her mistreatment. Please please never go to treat under her. I have a lot of things to say, but here I can not express everything."

"I have been seeing Dr Bocca for so many years I don't know how long been.. She is the sweetest Dr. She has been with me through hell and back and always stands by me and asks if there is anything she can do. I can get a hold of her whenever I need to. If I email her I get a call back from her faster than I ever expect and I'm so appreciative of that. She asks about my other health matters when I see her. She is like a part of my family at this point. She always has a smile on her face and a hug to give ya when you need it. She is one of the best drs I know and have sent many people to see her and will continue to do so. Love love love her"

"This was the worst experience of my life! From the very beginning it was like herding cattle. I asked to speak with my doctor 3 times and NEVER did. I was told the wrong amount of medicine for 3 days. When I called to ask about it the nurses didn't even know what to tell me. And 3 times my calls werent even returned! I wasn't told how well I was progressing throughout the process. I never met the surgical doctor like I was told I would. I had 9 eggs fertilized. 6 progressed. I went back to have 2 placed, expecting to pay to freeze the rest. It was never brought up. I call FIVE days later, I CALLED THEM, to find out about them and when I paid for the freeze only to be told they didn't make it. No explaination, just they didn't make it. I went in for my pregnancy test and expressed my emotion about how I don't feel like I was treated like a patient but more like a number. One nurse said that they hear that all the time. Another told me that they were understaffed and she was sorry. Not the place to be understaffed! Finally, all I recieved was a insincere phone to tell me that it didn't work and I wasn't pregnant. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I would never go back there!"
