"I used to call him doctor flirty, because the first words he ever spoke to me were, “Man you’re pretty.” He never allowed anyone in the room during my visits and he’d often say he knew I was there for my appointment, bc he could smell my perfume. He would pull his chair until his knees touched mine and performed one of my breast checks by having me stand and lift my shirt and bra, while he remained seated. Fast fwd, Dr. Irvin performed a LEEP and a tubal on the same day. It was supposed to be outpatient, but I was there for 4-5 days. I have suffered greatly from this procedure. My current OBGYN has been thorough, using ultrasound etc., to see why I can’t even get a Pap smear. Evidently, I developed an infection in hospital that went untreated. I was left with so much scar tissue, my OBGYN has trouble locating my cervix. My periods are debilitating and I have to use a compound suppository. Going forward, my Pap smears will all be performed under general anesthesia, because the pain is unbearable. Thank you Dr. Irvin for being so flirtatious and unprofessional, that you have rendered me years of suffering, with many more to go. I’m so disappointed and sad."

"Dr. Irvin first came in with the wrong file, told me I didn't have cancer. Then, after realizing his mistake, he came back in, said "they" gave him the wrong file, apologized then told me he suspected I had ovarian cancer. While telling me about the surgical procedure I would need, he told me the surgery has an 85% success rate and it would be 95% if I prayed to God - not knowing my religion or belief system. Uncomfortable with the care I received from Dr. Irvin, I decided to go to VCU for surgery and treatment and appreciate the doctors there that focus more on my health and less on their own religious journey."
