"Went to see her for an annual in November and expressed that I didn’t want STD testing. She went ahead and tested me anyway. I have been going back and forth with VCU Billing for 9 months trying to dispute this charge. Not only has this been an extremely frustrating experience but while in the exam room the doctor had her laptop placed between us for charting. The entire appointment seemed rushed and unprofessional."
"Dr C is fantastic! Personable, caring and smart. I only have to see her annually but she treats me like her number 1 patient. I followed her to her current practice because she is that good!"
"I saw her at the Stony Point location of VCU Hospital but I’ll review her here. She’s absolutely amazing. I have a lot of past trauma from being a victim of medical malpractice at another gynecologist office. I haven’t been to a gynecologist in three years. I was terrified and was even crying in the waiting room before I even was seen. But she was immediately super understanding and kind about everything. I was there for a lot of different reasons. I needed a physical examination but I had no idea how I could possibly get through one because of my PTSD. I also wanted to be sterilized, have my tubes tied. But I’m 28 years old so I was worried that she might not be willing to do it. A lot of doctors will not sterilize somebody as young as me. But she immediately agreed to sterilize me, no questions asked. No pushback at all. And she even said that we could do the pelvic exam, a Pap smear, testing for other pelvic diseases all during the surgery so that I would be sedated for all of it. That way I don’t have to be awake and suffer during an exam. She also said she would look for therapists who specialize in medical drama to help me get through everything. Even though my problems are complex, she was really willing to sit down and talk through it all with me, give me lots of time to speak, and come up with a comprehensive care plan. I can’t recommend her enough."
"If I could give a sixth star I would! Dr. C is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She makes sure to listen to what you have to say, explain what is going on, and is friendly and knowldegable. I would recommend everyone to go see her!"
"Meeting Dr. C was truly a game-changer for me when it came to my health and family planning care. I have never met a doctor more in-tune with the patient, or more willing to do whatever it takes to make the patient comfortable. I have had bad experiences with Ob/gyn doctors in the past, but I am so thankful my friend recommended Dr. C. She made me feel like I was her only patient in the world; she didn't rush the appointment whatsoever, thoroughly listened to what I had to say (and didn't have a pre-determined answer in her head), and just made me feel so at home. These types of appointments used to make me so queasy and scared, and every doctor that I saw (before Dr. C) made me feel humiliated whenever I would feel uncomfortable. Dr. C was the only doctor that I have let perform a pap smear (which was a big psychological obstacle for me to overcome), and she made me feel empowered once we got through it. Unlike the other doctors, she didn't make me feel like any less of a woman for anticipating the appointment. Instead, she was patient and supportive in a way that I'd never experienced with other doctors. I'm so proud to say she will be the doctor that we use for all appointments and pregnancies to come. I pray God blesses her as she has blessed me."
